Hi ECC, So I was looking at the file clean up policy (here) and I was curious. I have seen server files before and I understand that every user gets a file that stores their balance and log out location etc. But what I want to know is, How does taking money from someones balance "clean up" the files? If someone can fully answer my question it would be greatly appreciated Thanks!
It achieves cleaning up files of those who may never return, like those who gave up on their first chance on the server. If we kept all those files, it would be a nightmare, as some people join and don't like what they see, so they quit resulting in unnecessary files.
It does not only delete your money, it deletes the whole file. But I understand why you are confused when it only say that you lose your money. But because you don't have a home set to get deleted after 7 days, that is the only thing that would happen to you really.
It deletes the files of users that fit those criteria. It makes it so the back-up gets done faster, because thousands of files get cleaned up each time.
