Hey everyone, I know A LOT of you guys have no idea what I mean by OotM or Odyssey or Odyssey of the Mind. So I thought I might explain it here :3 OM is a school program that ranges from kindergarten to college/university that emphases something that schools normally don't teach, with is creativity. Every year, the program creates six problems, a problem that involves a vehicle, a problem that involves a technical representation (like a Rube Goldberg machine), a classics (meaning they take an important part of history into a problem), a structure (where teams make balsa wood structures to see what can hold the most weight, generally under some sort of regulation), and a preformance (all problems must have a skit, but this one is more predominant with the performance part), and a primary (a problem for K-2 kids). The goal is to fit under certain circumstances and build a skit with props, a set, everything of that sort. In the state of Colorado, you go to a regionals, then compete with the state, then with the entire world. OM is competed EVERYWHERE, from Kazakhstan to China to Mexico. Here is an example of a skit (this was our worst one, the regionals one, the one where you generally just compete to get to states) from my team last year. We went to worlds last year when I was a resident. The people on our team was snowbleie, Zoolouie, Anja2012, grinch9594, someone else that doesn't have a Minecraft (Yet >), leif519, and I. (The reason why everything is made from trash and cheap costumes is because every problem has a cost limit of items, usually 125-145 USD) We all don't go to this school anymore, so don't stalk us >.> Now, you may be saying, "Spencer, why are you telling us this now....?" Well, we are going to World finals! So yeah, here is OM, and if you wanna find out more, go to http://www.odysseyofthemind.com :3
