Supposedly I play too much (4-5 times a week, for only 1 hour) and was wondering what I should do anymore because I have to take a long break. What should I do?
You play too much? I play literally all day. I come home, shower, and play ECC for hours on end. Once I get home, I never leave the computer. I constantly browse the forums or chat with users while at school. ECC is my addiction! I'm okay with that.. for now. The reason I do this is because I have the free time. School comes easy to me and I don't have to study much. 5 hours per week is nothing. In fact, I would consider that a healthy amount to play. I assume it is your parents restricting your time on the computer. My parents do this with my brother, too. He plays baseball and his performance in school has been declining recently. Therefore, my parents take away the computer. If you are in the same situation, and ECC is distracting you from your daily activities, sports, friends and getting an education (most important), then I would suggest going along with your parents (as they usually know best) and taking a break from ECC as this should be a place to relax and wind down from a long day at school/work. Real-life needs to come before your virtual one. Once things start to balance out, come back anytime!
My grades are awesome and I love doing this when there is nothing else to do. My parents call this minecrap or Lego land and stuff like that and not letting me do what I can in my free time .
That's good to hear Maybe your parents value going outside and getting some exercise more than playing video games?
I go to the gym on days I plan through the week, sometimes I play pass with my dad, I do those things...
Tell them that I am sorry for whuppin their butts on Pac Man in the arcade. I know it was mean, but I was young then. Also tell them that they should feel free to play video games again, it's not just for "nerds" anymore.
