Instructions: Go into the mining world, jump off from a height that would normally result in damage upon impact. How many times did you recreate this bug?: 4 times but all within a few minutes of each attempt. Result: No fall damage Expected Result: Fall damage Evidence: None (apologies)
Can confirm. Took off feather falling boots, don't have fly+ and jumped from a 10 block tower. No damage taken, made the injured/taking damage noise (solid thunk) but no damage at all.
