Minecraft Username: cashcarti3 Brief Description: Acrobatics MCMMO isn't giving XP despite landing on different blocks very far away and waiting a good amount of time between each fall. Instructions: 1. Do /wild land (in mining world) 2. Build a cobblestone pillar 64 blocks high 3. Jump off of the pillar (I wore FF4 boots) 4. Run 150+ blocks, or do /wild land again, and repeat the steps How many times did you recreate this? 10+ times Result: No acrobatics XP was received after taking significant fall damage Expected Result: Acrobatics XP should have been gained
I've been consistently getting acrobatics EXP when jumping off things in rising and mining. I'll need explicit steps for replication here.
For me I flew up to a height that would take about half my health then turned fly off. the first time I got xp then I flew away like 30 ish blocks dropped again and got no xp. then I did /wild to get no xp
Acrobatics trainer (using lift signs) arent giving me exp (fly is off) - this is the usual training method for acrobatics.
The steps I listed in the bug report were what I was doing: 1. Turn off /fly 2. Do /wild land in mining world 3. Build 64 blocks directly upwards (I used cobblestone) 4. Jump off of said 64 block tall pillar (I was wearing FF4 boots) 5. Repeat steps 2-5 I did not receive acrobatics XP when following these steps
After relogging after a few hours, i am getting acro exp again normally (for the most part) edit: after gaining exp properly for approx. 20 falls, i no longer gain any exp from any fall in any location once again. edit2: relogging seems to consistently fix the issue, and I think it might be caused by the rolling perk. The last fall you do before you stop getting exp is always a roll. edit3: after more extensive testing, it seems that after you if you fall and roll 4+ times in a row, the bug has a very large chance of happening (4 times out of 4 i've tried)
Update: I repeated my experiment at different block heights and that is what seems to be the bug on my end personally. Any pillar I build up as long as it is 32 blocks high or less, gave me acrobatics xp. However, once the pillar hight exceeded 32 blocks (33+) I ceased receiving acrobatics XP. After jumping from 33 blocks or higher, the bug would kick in and I would stop receiving XP from jumps higher than 20 blocks. No xp was gained from this point further until the bug seemed to be reset by a fall of 16 blocks or lower, after which xp could be gained from jumps 32 blocks or shorter again. To explain, these are the steps I took and results I received: 1. Remove /fly 2. Do /wild land in mining world 3. Build cobblestone pillar 32 blocks high 4. Jump off of pillar Result: XP gained 5. Do /wild land 6. Build cobblestone pillar 33 blocks high 7. Jump of pillar Result: No XP gained 8. Do /wild land 9. Build cobblestone pillar 32 blocks high 10. Jump off pillar Result: No XP gained 11. Do /wild land 12. Build cobblestone pillar 24 blocks high 13. Jump off pillar Result: No XP gained 14. Do /wild land 15. Build cobblestone pillar 16 blocks high 16. Jump off pillar Result: XP gained 17. Repeated steps 2-16 and results remained the same In essence, the bug in my experience appears to be due to block heights (or fall distance), though I did not personally roll during my experience so I'm not sure how @JaredOxO explanation of a bug for rolling ties in to this, they may be two separate bugs.
mcMMO uses two things to prevent farming exp for acrobatics; 1) It tracks the location you've fallen into for the past 50 times, meaning that you can't fall back into the same spot all the time 2) It also tracks how often you fall, there is a mixture of RNG here, as well as a buffer to limit how fast you can earn exp
