Ok. Thanks to everyone that responded to my first thread you were all a great help and I appreciate it very much. I am still having trouble understanding things in this server and hopefully someone kind will give me some answers again! 1. Answered this myself on the wiki. Didn't look hard enough. 2. I understand that you can't unlock the various features in the game (the ability to pour water for example) without paying irl cash. I asked in game if you could purchase these with in game cash and someone told me that people will donate for you for in game cash at a rate of about 5k-6k per usd. He went on to say that this is not supported by the server and if you get scammed it's on you. Is this type of thing allowed by the server? (As in, are people allowed to donate for you?) If it is allowed, is there no safe way to do it? 3. I voted yesterday and got some Nether Stars and a Sheep Egg. I worked out a deal with another user to buy the items from me for in game cash. When we went to trade he asked me to drop the items and he would then send the money. Being a newer person I went first because I knew I'd never trust a new person to give after I gave first. He then sent the money and everything was fine. The entire thing seemed sketchy to me. Is there no safer way to conduct trades? 4. Is there a way to allow my friend and only my friend access to my locked chests? 5. Can emeralds be used for anything other than decoration blocks? I know it's a lot and I apologize. I've looked around for information and read most of the wiki but I'm having trouble finding my answers. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
Hey, there are a couple ways to own a town. The server has a few ranks,. You buy these ranks by collecting ecodollars in game and applying on the forums. The way the town system works is there are protected areas called towns (normally 200x200). These towns have both owners and members. Owners can add or remove members as well as break blocks in the area members can just break blocks. These towns are normally 200x200. When you become Resident rank (that is the second rank) you are able to be added as an owner to a town. When you reach Mayor rank (The third rank) you can create a new town of your own. You can read more about ranks here - ECC Wiki. As long as people are donating for you not any other type of IRL money transaction this is allowed. This is not particularly more unsafe than normal trades, its just normally a large amount of money is involved so youll want to be careful. One thing I would suggust is to go through this thread and the ban appeals and complaints section to see if someone is trustworthy before dealing with them. And of course remember to always screenshot any deals you make. There isnt really a safer way to conduct trades sadly. The best way is to deal with players you trust and to always screenshot any deal so if something does go wrong you have evidence and can report the player. Assuming you mean the in game market, you can apply for an application once you are Resident rank. You can find the instructions on the ecc wiki. Resident rank also comes with the ability to make trade signs to buy and sell goods. And yes you can add a player to a locked chest by typing /cmodify name and clicking your locked chest. No, at least not that I am aware of. Hope this answers your questions .
1. You can own a town by first applying for Resident, found in the Builders+ section, and costs 15k. After getting Resident, apply in the Residents+ section for Mayor, which costs for 85k. You will have to make 4 town posts on the perimeter of the future town and post the coordinates. 2. By paying another user eco dollars who is selling features, they will use their own irl money and buy the feature in your name. Make sure to search up their name on the forums to see if they have any previous infractions, making them less trustworthy. 3. You can lock a chest and add the person, making the transfer more safe. You can also make trade signs (resident perk) for blocks and items that are nonenchanted. 4. Only one person can own a market stall at a time. You will need to be Resident+ to apply for one in the Resident+ section.
