Mining world shouldn't be a PVP i like to know that i can mine and not get my head chopped off also i hate when people treat the MINING world just like a huge PVP i lose my diamonds all the time and when peoples Swords or Unarmed skills are high they can kill you in 1 shot. Mining isn't supposed to be easy, it is about having your head eaten off by zombies. Dying in lava and Screaming in ventrilo. About killing others to get their loot, and them killing you 5 minutes later. About back-stabbing, clan making, looking-over-your-shoulder, fist fighting juciness. Although i have to admit it gets pretty annoying not being able to get out of spawn because giant clans *ehem @thebrotherhood herm*
Just as Grahamster00 states it's mining is not supposed to be very peaceful It can be very irritating to get killed all the time, however you've got to remember that you may also kill the others, and get their loot!
Mining world is pvp for a good reason, people pvp there all the time. Those who mine have to work hard so they won't die. If you are just mining then you shouldn't have ANY trouble with PVP whatsoever, no one is going to enter your mine and kill you.
I would like to keep the mobs on just that it is super irritating when someone slotters you and take your diamonds.
I agree with ducky...I mean...yeah, mining isn't supposed to be 100% safe and all, but it seems that everything is PVP. Everything goes back to the pumpkin thing. You drop pumpkins and raise mining schtuff, but its almost IMPOSSIBLE to get items in the game. I think that if you want to PVP, it should be ONLY the neither and PVP center. Plus, you can get it for your town. Its seriously annoying to have PVP everywhere...
If it wasn't PVP, it would be another main world. Might I suggest mining in the main world? I still, to this day, continue to find mineshafts that no one has found. Along with an abundance of diamonds.
And it is NOT impossible to find items in game. This is a poor excuse that I hear from people all the time. It's not going to be handed to you. Look at the live map, swim out to an area that looks to be a good spot and dig straight down. I get 60% of my items from the main world from mining. That of which all goes into my trade shop. And you don't have to worry about people killing you in the main world.
I <3 the pvp in the mining world, although there is a chance to lose things I always have fun being at alert at all times ^.^
Okay, so I can mine in the main world. HOWEVER! Last check, mining world was called MINING world, not Mining-but-mostly-PVP World.
Hint hint... go to build portal 2.. swim down and start digging, place a block above you to stop the water flow, and you have a nice area that hasn't been hit too hard with mining. Tons and tons of diamonds at about y-level 10-13. It's all water so most builders avoid it.. but the smart ones will use that to their advantage
Personally, I think PvP is rare anywhere but within 100 blocks of spawn in the mining world. People always tend to 'camp' for PvP in a specific direction. If you see someone blocking your way out of spawn... Head in another direction. PvP in the mining world is hardly existent, I don't see why it's such a big deal. I have many times before made huge posts on threads almost exactly like this and won't do it again. Just think about it for a while and you'll understand.
Its fun always having that adrenaline from your laggy computer and the fact that at any second you could be ambushed
I just took to the open seas and found the edge of the map. Then I started to mine and made ton of money. Out of ores
. It's not stupid, it makes you work harder to make money. If you don't like PvP, like others said, mine in main world. I went mining with my brother and friend, in about an hour, we found 40+ diamonds!
The mining world is for those who want the greater reward for the greater risk. In fact, PVP is so nonexistent there that all you have to do, is getting 300 meters away from spawn and then mine. Your chances of finding another player who wants to kill is very, very low unless you let someone follow you and you don't try to avoid him/her. So in all due respect, if you don't like the mining world. MINE IN THE MAIN WORLD! This has been a nice, aggressive post brought to you by the Raging Miners. They mining is long as their rage.
The mineworld has the same amount of ores the main world does. Only the jungle mineworld had more ores.
