am I the only one who doesn't like this feature..? I can never tell whos who without doing /realname... give me the thoughs
I honestly think andrew needs to make is so I can do /msg chompy (chompin as example) and be able to message them without entering their real name. It just makes it easier overall.
I wish you had included an option for "I like the concept, but I think it would be better if there was a rule that said your real name had to be somehow incorporated into your nickname." For example, Flooble or Blooble would be okay for me, but not AFLYINGPONY.
Nicknames are hard for mods to moderate! Former Moderator MoofinK admitted it on a different thread I believe... Personally the nickname feature is a disaster.
I haven't had trouble moderating nicknamed users yet, all it does is maybe slow me down by 2 seconds, but that's it.
lol, just 2 seconds. Even though 2 seconds is a a short amount of time, a short delay can matter when one thing leads to another. Like when in the future we might have trains that travel hundreds of miles per second, and at those speeds, there is no room for mistakes. A 2 second delay can cause a collision when a train might collide with the other from behind because it was suppost to be farther ahead. 2 seconds matters. But in your situation it doesn't.
Because we use you for everything. We use you in our plans, our schemes, our visions, and as a tool, muahahaha we also you use you as a screw driver, a wrench, a paintbrush, and as a crowbar, a gear, a stuffed animal, a decoration, an entertainer, and I use you as a computer chip to replace my old electronics parts!
It tells you everyone that is logged in and is using a nickname. (Everyone with a nick has ** before their name)
I understand you can use that command but, before it was way easier to figure out their name. Then comes the colors... It can really bother my eyes. Especially the dark blue color. Like I said before the nickname command is a disaster.. This is my opinion on this feature, others may share it too and others won't.
