http://tinyurl.com/lv44lwr After several weeks in hiatus, we’re back with another riveting edition of top stories. Buycraft Automation By OnSceneReporter, Chief Editor As most of you know by now, for nearly three years, andrewkm processed donations for features and giftcards on EcoCityCraft manually -- by hand, each one, nearly every day… On January 27th 2013, andrewkm implemented Buycraft, an automatic donation processing system that allows speedy donation feature buying. Andrewkm has stated that it has really freed up his time, and many users have remarked positively to the system. After three weeks of using Buycraft on ECC, what do you think about it? Andrewkm is asking the community if there are changes people would like. If you have ideas visit this thread. Additionally, several individuals still have giftcard credits from before the implementation of Buycraft. It is advised that they should forum PM andrewkm asap to convert them to coupon codes that can work with Buycraft. Competitions By OnSceneReporter, Chief Editor EcoCityCraft is a really busy place. People are building, demolishing, trading, lotterying, falling, flying, walking, running, swimming, and fishing… But there are some cool activities that players organize on their own where they pit wits and tack against one another in competitions! From highlighting well-deed doers, to narrative prose, ECC has them all. Here are some competitions you can get involved in (Remember to check out the competitions forum section for all sorts of fun). Donation Feature Build Competition - Deadline March 8th Build with select natural materials and you may win a donation feature! Hosted by chanidanny and chanimeryl. An entry fee is required The Beginning By OnSceneReporter, Chief Editor Many have wondered for a long time exactly how the wondrous EcoCityCraft came to be - and their wonder is now at an end. This past saturday andrewkm, creator and chief administrator of ECC, has unveiled moving images that document the creation of ECC that in this reporter’s words is just stunning. Absolutely stunning. Spotlight: Colhen By OnSceneReporter, Chief Editor When traveling the two main worlds of EcoCityCraft, we encounter some pretty amazing things. For every edition, we want to share something special we’ve come across. On this edition, we’re taking a look at the town of Colhen, by Maco20047. The Asterion Nation. A growing medieval city state comprised of the townships: Colhen, Freywyn, and Preston. Colhen proper is the centerpiece of the nation, with portal access located on Towns 4 - Coal Quadtrant - Redstone aisle - #41 (according to this). From the moment our team stepped through the portal, we were shocked by the majesty of Colhen’s hold, where residents may gather for feasts, parties, and festivities of the like. Exiting the hold, visitors are greeted with a lovely town center, complete with market, library, blacksmith, and a clock tower. Colhen has a variety of unique medieval housing and architectural features that can really immerse and inspire visitors. To the northeast of the hold, a harbor and dock are under construction. Soon ships from far and wide will bring exotic goods to populate Colhen’s market. The town even has a horse stable, for the riding savvy who desire a natural, uncluttered countryside for mares of all breeds. Colhen and the Asterion nation are still developing. If you find yourself with nothing to do, trot on through the towns portal system, or use “/warp colhen”. There is much to explore. It will be very interesting to revisit Maco20047’s progress with this jewel in the future. Got a town or build you find amazing? Let us know and we’ll check it out! Congratulations! By OnSceneReporter, Chief Editor On EcoCityCraft, tons of events both large and small are worthy of celebration. Things like moderator promotions or huge lotto victories have ECC citizens cheering shouts for days at a time. Though we would wish to congratulate revanrose6 on the server admin rank, we are actually downright scared of the bloody interest the Darth seems to have taken in Survival Games… Run! But enough jokes, at this time we feel it is only appropriate and astute to celebrate a few of the most hallowed events that occur on ECC. Namely, the union of users is celebratory celebration-i-ness. Congrats to youiyoi1 and Probuilder300 on their awesome consortium! I made it to the celebration on Friday the 14th at the last second, to bear witness to what appears to have been the ceremonial carpet starring - perhaps it is a tradition from that part of the Main world. It was a quick, and cordial wedding, witnessed by xpurexcorex and a couple others. I am sure the lucky couple are thrilled to be together. Good luck you two. Congrats xpurexcorex and Grimm123 on their happy amalgamation! Officiated by revanrose6 in Badwolf castle this past saturday, tons of users gathered to witness, fly, and disguise themselves in one of local vicinity’s most chattered events. When the ceremony was first brought together, only close friends and potential relatives stood amongst the pews. Just as the event was getting underway, news spread amongst the shouts and global chat telegraphs like wildfire. Citizens from all over ECC began teleporting into the hall to pay their respects and brief attention spans to the momentous occasion. Welikeike22 enjoyed a cooked potato. Even kukelekuuk00 made an appearance. Overall, it was a really wonderful celebration, one that this reporter was confused to attend. Have a major event coming up that you want covered, documented, and flaunted to the denizens? Shoot us a forum PM and we’ll do our best to hit it on the front page! (how do you have a front on a scrolling page?) P.S. The wedding images are weird because the bureau's camera broke. Donations toward a new camera (aka screenshot key) are welcome. Do you <3 Conspiracy? By OnSceneReporter, Chief Editor On Friday February 14th, users on ECC could use /valentine to turn a plain old netherstar into a special lore item… Many users reportedly ripped these items out of their inventories to stuff into each other’s inventories. Some users even paid sums of money for the tokens of emotion. Though the madness may be over for now, this reporter is left wondering the possible sinister purposes to emblazoned items with the essence of users… What may give credence to these concerns is that the /valentine command was created by ECC’s own alchemist, Khobbits… What purposes indeed...
