I wasn't sure where to post this, but I'm new to EcoCityCraft [obviously]. I'm not too far into the massive world of Minecraft, but I definitely am looking for a good community to do multiplayer for a few reasons [friends, new game style, ways to learn more about Minecraft]. What are the best things to know, and where are the best places to start learning about EcoCityCraft? This site is a little daunting, and I don't want to do anything incorrect to put myself out of favor. DX Thanks, -DarkChaosKaxi
Start out by voting. That will get you your first 1.25K. Log off and come back tomorrow. Vote again you'll have enough money to buy a plot large enough to start a farm. The plot should be in a chunk and at least 16x16. 2.5k should be enough money to buy one of those. Then there comes the question of what type of farm to build. Currently, the farms that make the most money are wheat, reeds, and melons. For beginners, wheat is the best because it does not take a large farm or any special materials. You should make it 15-20 stories tall and auto-harvesting if you know how. That will get you 10-20K an hour. You'll rank up in no time and be able to build larger, more profitable farms later. I hope this helps.
Well I would like to start off with WELCOME!!!111!! With that out of the way, I would recommend you do like I do, find a nice hole in the wild and dig a staircase down to y=4 and just dig in a straight line, if you reach lava or a town turn right, or if necessary, away from the lava. I also would recommend that you try to hang out with people on the server, don't be like me and be a hermit for the first 2 months and know no one. You will soon learn the joys of an economy server and the extreme addiction that comes with it. I hope that you have tons of fun and love ECC like I do! Hope this helps .
Hey, thanks for all the tips. As I said, I'm not too far into Minecraft, just getting into the redstone circuitry. I don't know how to build an autofarmer, but I'll see what I can do about that. Are there any other things I should know beyond the rules? Also, what mods should I be using?
This server recommends the CJB Modpack. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/240 ... ompatible/ And if you don't want to build a wheat farm, try out different farms, see what fits you. Also, this thread has been moved to General Discussion because it is related to the server. Moved. Off topic -> General Discussion
Cjb for lightwalk and minimap if you want, optifine for better performance, and if you get fly then you can fly with cjb.
Thanks for that. I wasn't entirely certain where to post a welcome topic. I'll test things out, for sure. I saw some of the donate options, and they just stick out. Are these one-time payments or monthly fees?
they are a 1 time fee for each donation feature. also your welcome to stay in my town, i have a old farm from another user that needs to be used again.
One-time makes it a tad more tempting even if I am in that "starving college student" phase of my life, haha. About that offer, how would that exactly work?
haha DarkChaos welcome xD and if you wish to bypass the server limit, you can always donate, or pay a trusted user ecodollars to donate for you xD
I'd also suggest reading the wiki, if you have time. Just browse through the pages, it has tons of info about commands, donator features, ranks and more! http://www.ecocitycraft.com/wiki/index. ... =Main_Page
