I TOTALLY agree with this. All those stupid builder when you are like chatting and crap, they push you in the pvp. I also hate it when a group of people gang-push you into pvp. I don't get why this isn't a rule. No ill-effects and greatly helps the community.
Yeah but the law is kinda on their side and after a few (a lot) of incidents (not only this) I`ve seen i`ve been losing a TON to builders who just wont stop bothering you :/ and you`re not really expecting it if you`re afk for 20 seconds also instead of a plugin.... Why not just change the entrance so that you have to JUMP to get into the PvP arena? That would be simple :/
Yes, please. I've thought the same exact thought... I really don't understand why it isn't just like this, the portal is perfectly capable of being off the ground by placing like 6 blocks...
This. ^ Honestly, spawn is supposed to be safe. Just like in all games, your spawn area or town area is safe. People cannot do anything to harm you. Spawns should be safe... even if you just make a minor change by making the PVP portal one block above the ground. You could even make the blocks go one down right before entering the actual PVP area. A user being pushed can't be pushed up or down. And it isn't just being AFK that gets you killed. As a normal user and as a Moderator, you can be typing a lot. Explaining something, setting up a trade, doing an auction ... the game can even freeze. There have been several times in the past where I've been pushed into or almost into PVP because I was busy typing. And no, it isn't really easy to stop typing... You either 1) die in PVP, or 2) get someone to hate on you and start flaming you, or 3) rule breakers go on a rule-breaking spree (in the case of only one or two active Moderators).
I always make sure I am in my "home" before I leave my pc. Even if it is for 1 minute. I don't trust anyone. But ten again, I could just fly straight up into the air and not worry about someone pushing me anywhere
just to point out when was this? i remember this happening and killing all the builders and someone not sure if this was you. lol
This is a great suggestion! one time i saw a person in iron armor be pushed out and killed an then 20 minutes later he come back on and says what happened to my stuff!?!? and everyone starts saying its not against the rules. i was almost pushed in my self. there is a plugin where you run into another person you cant move at all. it does work but is REALLY annoying in crowded areas. :/ win lose situation
It would be EXTREMELY simple to fix. Take away slabs/stairs in front of portals, so you have to jump up a block to go through a portal. Sure, it would be a minor hassle having to jump through a portal, but it it would solve TONS of issues. That's just my opinion
