New forum rule

I have a feeling this is directed at me....... If so, let me know. If not, let me know. I need to know whether to rage or not.

 

There is a difference between mini-modding and being helpful. Thin-ish line. Some people are being helpful, most are just mini-modding (mainly in-game).

If something looks rude/blunt/"wannabe-mod"/irrelevant/incorrect/ etc. from someone who may me mini-modding, you can mark/flag the post. There is already a universal forum rule against mini-modding.

D0rc acts like a mod and so does jescat. Where they once mods?

 

Yeah, we both were, just a habit now to help people out.

I actually comend people for willing to help others. I do agree that in some cases its a bit annoying, but i would rather be on a server where everyone is helpful and polite then other servers ive joined where everyone is a complete azzhat. The annoying people know who they are no need to point it out. I have a feeling with the increase in supermods there wont be much opportunity for random users to throw in their 2 cents!

And fyi... I sitll see jets and several other as perma mods, so is really just a throw back to the good ole days! Lol

Wait I still do? Or do you mean you saw it in old posts? lol. I'm trying my best not to act like one anymore to prevent threads like this directed at me.

 

They do that so they can look helpful and later try to get the mod rank

 

I see no problem unless the mini modding is supplying incorrect guidance or information.

 

Many minimodders are former mods (D0rc, Jetscat and I for example). This isn't true.

 

Do a lot of people think I minimod?

I do to, I think once you're far up into the Moderator ranks I.E Super-Moderator you get used to it, and it's just like a daily thing, which prooves to the public Andrew def has the Moderators in a good state of mind.
