In Game Name: OtterInAOnesieWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: Network WideShort title for your suggestion: Tab timeWhat are you suggesting: If you hit tab on any server, in the bottom left cornet it displays the time. The time is in Military time, but shows AM or PM depending on what time it is. I am suggesting to switch this, as it is confusing to younger players. Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: Would help the younger players who don't understand how to read military time.Other information: Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
Pretty sure there are more countries that use 24 hour time than 12 hour time, plus I really don’t think it’s that hard to “translate” it, or at least just Google how to figure it out. You just subtract 12 from the hours spot and add pm, so 21:30 would be 9:30, 21-12=9.
that is assuming they know to do that aman. I'm meh on it as if you don't have a clock on your computer...wtf operating system are you using man!?! +/-0
I'm mostly suggesting this as a convenience thing, also I'm not saying change it to AM or PM, im saying don't make it be military time with the AM or PM on it.
Kinda worded my suggestion weirdly. Currently the time is in Military time, however, it still shows AM or PM. I am suggesting to make it either Military time OR AM/PM
Ahhh, I see what you were saying, I thought the suggestion meant change it from 24 hour time/military time to 12 hour time with AM/PM. I guess I forgot or didn't realize tab had 24 hour time with AM/PM added on. Anyway, for the actual suggestion: The clock on tab is for the server's local time, not the player's local time, is that not correct? If so, I'd suggest removing the AM/PM but leaving the 24 hour time format, I think it would make it easier to figure out the time distance for people who live very far from the server's location with multiple time zones in between, since it would be one less step to figure out the time distance. At least it would for me. To be fair I live in the same time zone as the server so I don't actually have to do any of that, someone else's opinion might be better suited.
If anything it helps people understand it since 1-12 is obviously AM, and 13-00(24) is PM. Simple math from there to do if you want it in a 12 hour format. -1.
