In Game Name: bobbyblackWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: Network WideShort title for your suggestion: Stricter Unban PolicyWhat are you suggesting: I suggest that if someone is supposed to buy an unban and they decide to bypass this with an alt and get banned on the alt, we raise their unban # to the next tier. For example: if I am banned and I am required to buy unban #1 but I choose to use an alt account instead rather then buying the unban and am caught and banned for bypassing, I should then have to buy unban #2 instead due to once again being banned. Clearly the individual who decides to bypass their mains perma ban instead of paying to come back on, shouldn't walk away with 0 punishment. TLDR: raise the unban # to the next tier if someone who is required to buy an unban is caught bypassing their ban.Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: Stricter punishments for those who are being banned for something severe enough to have to purchase an unban.Other information: Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
+1. Additionally, after getting banned on a 2nd alt, the ban should be a forever ban (non-removable type of permaban, since permaban isn't perma >_>).
-1 The person is clearly alting to come on as they can't afford the current price. Increasing it is just going to be a waste of staff time mind you, waste of staff as they'd just carry on. If anything put it back to $60 ECC will get way more revenue from donations that way because they'll keep paying it. Not as if the user has that much of an impact on ECC anyway.
There is no such thing as a permaban on ecc lol, I'm pretty sure no matter how horrible it is (to an extent), you can always beg for forgiveness to andrews email +1 to the suggestion overall though
I would argue that the person is clearly alting to avoid paying the $60 fee. Generally speaking, anyone who does anything stupid enough to get a permaban is fully aware that unbans cost a significant amount of money. If they want to dodge that cost, then make them pay extra for trying to bypass it. +1
But what if they just carry on alting? I don't see this as a scare tactic at all. If the cost just keeps going up they'll keep trying to dodge it using alts doesn't solve the problem. Who in their right mind would pay £194.99 and even if you do manage to find someone who is willing to pay that much on a payment plan (which you probably won't) you'll have to grind for ages. Its possible and you may argue don't get banned then, but I still don't see how this helps the alt problem.
And this is why I suggested making it a forever ban (buying unbans wouldn't work) after the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) alt ban.
Sure, but eventually they'll get bored of progressing towards a goal all to get banned and be forced to completely restart. And who knows, maybe the people they're helping will get in trouble sooner or later too!
-1, not strict enough. Just make them buy an unban for each alt they used to bypass, why let them skip?
This requires effort on my part (adding the previous ban packages to the violators to force them to buy the next one via my shop panel. Means I have to login, punch in my /2fa, find the user, figure out which ban they are on, etc.) I refuse to allow trolls to waste my time like this. I much rather eat rice with sriracha sauce. The current system is fine. ^
