Denied [Network Wide Suggestion] Promote events better

    What part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for:
    Network Wide
    Short title for your suggestion:
    Promote events better
    What are you suggesting:
    Every 15 mins have an automated alert message that promotes upcoming events like dragon wars, capture the base, etc.
    Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:
    It would raise awareness of these events, wouldn't be spammy if it's only done every 15 minutes and would mean that people who don't use the forums that much hear about the events.
    Other information:
    I didn't hear about the dragon wars event until today and it would have been nice if it had been better promoted.
    Plugin or custom addition:
    Add it to the ShopDB bot code or do it via console?

    -1 I believe we promote events very well. In fact, I would argue that we promote them too much.

    @SisuJaSalmiakki we have this already. Its called the staff team. We are instructed to advertise events frequently. It might not be 'exactly' every 15 minutes, but we advertise events a LOT.

    PS: I feel the need to point out that there was a news on discord and the forums plus the Monthly Events Announcement. Ngl it feels like it'd be harder to miss an event atm then it would be to hear about it.

    -1. to miss an event at this point, you would need to play with no chat as staff were advertising every 10 minutes or so, not look in shoutbox, the monthly event thread, the chronicle, or news on discord.

    like revan said above, you need to try to not find out about events at this point. plus an automated message would get annoying quickly tbh.

    Honestly, I know for a fact when we run events, I post an ad for it about twice every hour, and on the day, multiple times an hour, for example, today, I was posting the ad every 20 or so mins, then at then with the last 1 hours, I was doing it every 10-15mins. These numbers aren't including the times where the rest of the staff team posts their ads.
    I am very happy at the way the events are advertised and I am happy at how the staff team works together to makes these events possible.

    We have lots of other ways to find out what events we are running, for example, the forums, shoutbox or Discord, we do a good job of advertising as it is.

    Events are already well promoted.

    News posts at the start of the month, Discord news and in-game alerts are all utilized to let people know about events and are actually highly effective. There is excellent turn-out at nearly every event!

    Automated messages are simply not needed.
