What part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for?
    Network Wide
    Short title for your suggestion:
    Keeping /ch list Family Friendly
    What are you suggesting?
/ch FUCKER, /ch Mature, and any other Player-Driven Private Chat Channels be removed from the first page of /ch list (moved to the second page and above)
Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?
ECC's Chat System is designed to prevent new users from becoming uncomfortable from a bombardment of explicit or mature material in "Main" Chat Channels, such as Global Chat or /ch g and Trade Chat or /ch tr, when first joining the community, as that may steer them away from truly "sticking around" on the server forever (one and done users). Rules are obviously in place to mitigate this issue, however, if a user is curious and wants to know what other Chat Channels exist as is implied in the /tutorial, I do not believe that /ch Mature and /ch FUCKER are appropriate Chat names to have listed as the first two Channels in /ch list.

It would likely behoove ECC as a collective group to block (either manually or automatically) player-made Private Chat Channels from being shown on the first page of /ch list, if possible. Having Channels like /ch Mature, /ch FUCKER, or other inappropriately-skewed names which may arise in the future does not reflect the ECC community at large. ECC is an extremely welcoming place. Having Channels like these on the first page of /ch list sends the wrong message to new users, which inevitably serves the interest of no one.
    Other information:
Staff are not allowed to moderate Private Chat Channels... For some users, it may be the case that those whom are looking to "troll" would immediately enter the top Channel listed on the first page of /ch list and start wrecking havoc / causing chaos... Obviously if this were to occur it would not bode well for the overall well-being of the ECC community... Just something else to consider.

Another important consideration might be standardizing the order of Chat Channels in /ch list across all servers as it varies across the server network (if possible).

Note: Capitalization of Chat Channel names appears to have no effect on the Channel's order in /ch list.
    Plugin or custom addition:
    HeroChat

-1 In regards to new players looking to troll immediately joining channels like Mature, etc this is a very unlikely situation and secondly, why is there any need to block channels users have paid for when the rest of ECC is no longer family friendly? If the users do not want to see the conversations that they have heard/that have been suggested go on in a specific channel, then they do not have to join and stay safe in the comforts of /ch g.

Furthermore, these channels do not show nor pop up anywhere on the server unless a user looks at /ch list or a user talks about them, I see no need to block channels like these from being on the first page.

I see the intention behind this, but I doubt it is going to make a new user leave because they've seen a couple mature channels, when users can now say worse in global.

If someone joins a private channel and is inappropriate in the context of that channel then they can just be kicked/banned from it. Also, /ch list isn't part of the tutorial or /help chat (unless I'm blind and I missed it), so my guess is not that many new players will even see the list. If people just want to join the server and cause trouble, they are going to do it in global chat where they have easy access. Even if they do get access to one of these channels, the player can just be banned from the private chat, or others can use /ignore.

edit: "chat" is one of the options under "/help list", which is part of the tutorial

I do partially agree, only because it seems the use of caps skews the sorting of the list.

But I also say, hey who ever uses /ch list anyways

I’m not going to examine every chat channel purchase and code a custom additional list to filter out /ch list. There is far worse shit online than seeing the word fucker in a chat list. Kids see way worse on a daily basis in our global and vip chat.

No chance am I wasting time on this.

New players only see the channels listed at the tutorial and don’t see the /ch list command. Further more no one auto joins channels like /ch mature. If you decide to join that channel and see messed up shit that’s your fault. Welcome to the internet. Same thing as googling the word “fucker” and complaining google didn’t filter out the porn.
