In Game Name: JdawgerWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: Network WideShort title for your suggestion: Donation PrestigeWhat are you suggesting: Prestige for donation features that are at or above a certain amountWhy is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: Andrew was talking about maybe having prestige in shop for about $500 USD, but instead, my counter suggestion to that would be to give players who donated a certain amount to the server the prestige.Other information: I was thinking donation features totaling at least $1000 or $1500, but it can be higher too.Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
Speaking as someone with over $2000 to his name: Personally, I don't like the whole concept of giving Prestige away for free or as a bonus. (Also referring to https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/main-city-server-suggestion-5-year-member-prestige.178339.) Prestige has actual value (+10% /sell price), so it should be difficult to obtain and require actual effort. To quote andrew's reply from that thread: (And yes, this would indeed be free because it would be a free bonus on top of the features you actually pay for.)
I fear that as we keep asking for more on Presitge, that our beloved founder will make it worth next to nothing as soon as it becomes profitable. Keep in mind - as star tools become more available - prices will be nerfed.
yes lets just make it to where creditcard warriors also get 10% more /sell hand value when all they did was buy ecd anyways... -1
Just a counter suggestion since it was talked about in chat earlier today and seemed Andrew was thinking of adding buyable prestige to shop. I fear buyable prestige might happen soon.
If someone wants to blow $500 for prestige... let them. I mean if you want an extra 10% /sell and have that much money you can do that.. by all means knock yourself out. But no.. giving 1/3 of the server prestige in one shot? Never going to happen. I was for the 5 year suggestion since only a handful of players would get it. Not because of the extra money.. but more as an incentive to keep players around. This one just seems a bit too much.
I see your point and actually heavily agree with you. This suggestion is kind of too much in my opinion now too.
Prestige at network total 4k+? That'd limit it enough... (seriously though free prestige not happening)
To be fair, the 5 year suggestion would have awarded almost 20 000 accounts with Prestige¹, which is definitely more than "only a handful". Unfortunately I don't have any data regarding features, although someone with the right permissions wouldn't have any problems finding out how often a specific feature medal has been awarded. ¹ https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/members/20000 is the 20000th member on the forum and joined 5 years minus two days ago.
I'm sure you would only be considering any active players willing to submit a application and are currently playing ECC... Sure maybe a few old players may return for prestige and even fewer would like play enough for it to have any real impact on the economy.. I mean hey if it added 20000 active players who would potentially donate funds for the server why wouldn't andrew go for it?... I suspect not. So yeah... I stand by my original statement "only a handful" of players would have likely even utilized it.
I don't like the idea personally, although if a buyable prestige becomes available in the buycraft store then I would rather see this in place instead of a simple purchase of it. I just think it would be pretty unfair to add one more prestige for those who can afford it, this is basically asking to make ECC even more play to win in a sense. Everyone should have a fair chance of getting the same prestige for the same amount of work.
Won’t happen. Prestige is for gameplay. Not USD. Furthermore, we have hundreds of users who would qualify for this and would be near impossible for me to import them all, do name changes, look UUIDs up, etc. Nah, this is just an easy way for people with massive amounts of features to grab a free prestige when coming back to ECC.
