What part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for:
    Network Wide
    Short title for your suggestion:
    Allow Soil flag for TC++
    What are you suggesting:
I'm suggesting that the Town Control flag "soil-dry" be enabled for users to manipulate and or toggle.
Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:
I think this would lend well to customized designs and efficiently built farms. Farms in particular which are common and frequently used.
    Other information:
This flag is listed on page 3 of flags but is currently disabled for TC++ for reasons unknown. I do not believe it would provide and unfair advantage as it implies that users must create conditions for soil to be wet first. And then utilize the flag to maintain that state after water removal.
    Plugin or custom addition:

    One suggestion per form:
    I Understand.

While a great idea, having built many farms this would be great to help avoid water grief and potentially lowering client side frame drops from moving water particles...but something about this feels a little cheaty to me. Sure, you have to place the water to do it, but I don't know... just throwing my two cents into the ring.

I would like to remind reviewers that this would be attached to TC++, therefore this could become a service provided, or used personally. As it stands this doesn't provide any additional efficiency to pumpkins or melons.
Only lower crop production like Potatoes, Wheat, Beets, Carrots (and any I may have missed), would be significantly benefited.

I'm going to look into different growth rates for soaked and non soaked dirt under stems to confirm my belief about the efficiency for pumpkins and melons.

I like the idea and the addition of this being added possibly. I like it for the unique designs in farms, but I do not believe it will affect how much you may make an hour tremendously as the prices are quite low for crops like wheat, potatoes, and etc.

Couldn't find any data to suggest that soaked dirt under stems effected growth rates of pumpkins or melons.

I meant that you get ~11% more melons/pumpkins per floor into your farm.

If you leave out the lanes for water, you get more space for melons etc. Didn't say anything would grow faster.

As it stand you don't need water lanes for growth, but people still do it. So if anything you could make that 11% in the game right now without this addition (unless you have adjoining towns without build perms). I merely saw that there was a potential argument for growth rates, and looked into it (separately).
