Minecraft Name: mattybillo1 Suggestion: Nerf the effect of counter attack using mcmmo swords. I suggest capping it at 20% or reducing the damage it counters to 25%. Reason: Many will not agree but they are beginning to ruin pvp. People with max % counter attack can stand in a corner and the person attack has as much chance of dying as the person in the corner. MCMMO should give a slight advantage not a massive one. You can hit someone with 1000 swords 1.5x more and then will still kill you first, at least. I think figures may even be higher. You can argue that you trained it so you should keep it, but that didn't apply to unarmed or axes so it shouldn't for swords. I don't want to lose my swords level either, just like the people reading this, however I think it is better for pvp. Any Other Information: If anyone wishes to reply please voice why, or otherwise I just see you are someone who doesn't want to lose their ability in pvp but have no reason against apart from personal gain. I am also aware the poll will almost definitely say, 'no' because of people who want to keep their ability in pvp. Remember a comment with reasoning inputs a lot more than a vote of 'no' or a -1 comment. Link To This Plugin: Sure you can change in MCMMO config file similar to when axes were nerfed, please correct me if I am wrong.
+1 from me, everytime i go in the PvP arena its like a giant death trap with people high McMMo levels (even though I accedently voted no)
+1 honestly mcMMO has ruined some parts of PvP like swords it has taken the chance away from a even game(maybe not but then it depends on skill). I know that lots of people worked for there swords so maybe add a new affect NuclearW (or his team) and take away counter attack
+1. PvP was meant for skill fighting... not training some kind of stat... Whoever wins a 1v1 should be judged by whoever is more skilled, not some stupid perk created by a plugin. Not saying that McMMo combat is bad, I'm just saying that counters should not just...decide...the winner of the battle. Even with a nerf like this, I'd still be willing to train up to the cap for counters. As matty said, it should only provide a SLIGHT advantage, not a massive one.
+1 There is hardly any skill involved in the server's pvp arena, its all about who spends the most time training mcmmo. In my opinion, all skills need to be neferd down, but swords are definitely the most troublesome. Even though i don't own a high swords level, i think it would level out the playing field. Anyone can be good at pvp on the server, but not skill wise. "HARD" Nobody worked hard for their levels, they sat at a heal sign with an autoclicker, or clicked it by themselves. The only thing spent on getting high levels was time and patiences, other then that its really easy to get 1000 swords.
I myself spent over 20 hours of gametime to reach level 1000, I could have used that time for any of the other activities I do outside ECC, wasting my money and time with several inefficient training dummies, and getting my hand to ache by clicking manually, and having my friends make fun of me for spending my time on something 'useless'. Also add to that the EcoDollars I spent to get the mcMMO+x3 donation ($60 Total) I got for this specific purpose, which costed me more than $300,000 that probably took me some good hours Pumpkin Farming when I used to do it, as I don't play lotto. Nope, I didn't sacrifice anything at all... You may have your way of doing it sooner, but I at least wanted to do it on my own, to feel that I at least got to finally have a skill at 1000 with my own effort, even though I didn't get many perks from these last, harder levels. Also, probably most of you are aware that the Counter Attack Max Activation Chance tops quite a bit before reaching 1000, requiring much less dedication...I just decided to train my way up to 1000 to get a permanent spot at the top of the leaderboard, which yes, can be truly a waste of time. Note to the rest of people: This is not a comment against the suggestion, so please don't reply angrily saying I'm against it only because of my swords level as an excuse, If I feel it's necessary I'll post a much larger reply showing completely why I agree or disagree with it. I only commented to give my point of view about "Nobody worked hard to get their levels".
que I know what your going at I spent $60 for swords but stopped training or slowed down because I thought why am I doing this I may as well really PvP. Plus que as said in my post We could have another skill replace it just for the server but it would have to be NuclearW and his team. The skill would have to be less OP or we lower the counter attack chance to the maximum of 20%. This would still become quite an advantage. I see mainly its people with out 1000 swords agreeing but that means way more people agree to have it nerfed then the ones going for keep CA
I would like to take a small step in here for a quick hop-in, hop-out post. To start, I'm just going to say that I myself am completely neutral on the situation, I don't care if it's taken away, nerfed, stays, whatever. Though there is one thing I would like to add first. In the next couple months (at most 2-3) the McMMO devs are going to re-balancing all PvP skills for the plugin, which will be the 1.5 McMMO update. That being said, who knows at this point what could happen. For all we know, all the perks in swords could be redesigned for all we know. All this senseless arguing/polls with the hope of it being removed in the end, will be pointless once the PvP re-balance comes. I am in no way trying to argue with anyone, or even stop this poll because counter attacks could be taken, and then again it could not, but I will be completely honest with you though, it will take agesif anything does end up happening. Lets say that counter attack chance will be nerfed, or removed, it will still take about another month or two before a solid agreement is met, also one being the fact if Andrew will even change it. So, in the end, we can either have a small bit of hope for counter attacks to be removed soon while debating and stressing about this poll, or we can just kick back and enjoy other things on ECC for a little bit and wait for the re-balance of McMMO combat. I know most of us here made it though the age of disarming, so we can sure as well make it though this. So, that is all I would like to say at this point. Hope most of you will take my advice and just relax for a bit. It may take a little longer than you hope, but hey, it will be well worth the wait if you are as big into PvP as I am. Umm let's see..... NO, NO!, NO!! and NO!!! -1 1. This is completlely unfair to those who have spent the time and effort leveling mcmmo swords. They worked hard for their benefits and taking them away (Even if not a large amount) would be completly unfair to those people. 2. What about those people who bought mcmmo+ donation feature with the idea of leveling their swords. Would you like to tell them their $20+ donation will still level mcmmo but you are taking away mcmmo benefits?
I am not suggesting removing swords, just nerfing it. You will still have a 20% chance, which is still pretty good. Also, explain the removal of disarm and the nerfing of axes if the server gives a damn about time spent training, I could get 1000 swords in about 10 hours of training with x4 not really much effort at all.
It would take roughly that exact amount of time before anything is done with this suggestion anyway, to tell you the truth. Just save your time now and do something fun, instead of debating over something that's going to change anyway. Just some advise.
