Hey there, When I melon farm I'm semi-afk, I'll be watching Netflix or something as it's a mundane task. I was wondering if someone could help me create a macro that perfectly lines up my character and cursor with a line of melons so I don't accidentally destroy the farm while not looking, I'll pay a few thousand ECD to whoever manages to make this, thanks.
I am sure you would probably know more about what abides by the rules or not, but wasnt there a user recently banned for utilizing a very similar set of macros in order to semi afk melon farm? You may want to make sure this doesnt count as that. Apologies if uneeded info
I'm not actually using the macro to break any blocks or generate money, it's just to cause my character to face in the perfect direction so I don't accidentally break melon crops while farming if I'm looking away.
It would be incredibly easy to set this up, but as it was stated above - I am not sure whether this is legal or not.
I think @eekelmo would still be holding W and left clicking. He just doesn't want to accidentally move his mouse and destroy have the farm while looking away for 3+ seconds. That's my guess, could be wrong.
Code: $${ #look = 40; IF((YAW < 45)) LOOK(180,%#look%); ELSEIF((YAW < 115)) LOOK(270,%#look%); ELSEIF((YAW < 225)) LOOK(360,%#look%); ELSEIF((YAW < 315)) LOOK(450,%#look%); ELSEIF((YAW < 360)) LOOK(180,%#look%); ENDIF; }$$ This will put you at perfectly straight angles. I created this a while ago. (adjust #look for the vertical angle.)
How wouldn't it be legal? The rules currently state this: Clause 4 - Automation The use of any means to earn money without doing any work is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, macromod scripts, autofisher mods, fully automated farms, and physical means to hold a button down while away from your computer. Usage of automated means is allowed for MCMMO grinding, providing you are not generating money and are not afk (e.g. an autoclicker to train the swords skill on a player is allowed, an autoclicker to train the swords skill on a mob spawner is not). If you are found to have used any kind of illegal automation, your relevant statistics/balance will be reduced and/or cleared entirely at the discretion of administration. Be warned that we take this very seriously. By using a macro like this, @eekelmo is in violation of no rules as still doing work, he's still holding buttons, and he isn't AFK.
I definitely was not accusing him of doing anything illegal. I just read a situation which sounded very similar which led to a user being banned and mentioned it because it seemed the user had been punished for being semi-afk despite a very small amount of user input being used, which has led me to be careful in that situation. I sincerely apologize @eekelmo if it seemed like I was accusing you of trying to break the rules or was trying to say this was or was not definitely against the rules, as according to my read through it seemed the other user's macros seemed legal as well so long as input was needed. I acknowledged first thing that I knew you'd know better than me and absolutely was only trying to be friendly. Sorry, please go on about your macro creation and I'll get the heck out of your way.
Yes but aluxxen claimed to use macros to adjust viewing positions that were later edited from the appeal. (The view macros)
Macros that broke for him, walked for him, and turned for him. The macro eek asks for does none of those things. It only aligns him with blocks in the direction he's already looking at.
Just because he claimed he was using them doesn't mean he was. I'd be willing to bet those macros weren't even made until after he was banned.
