My ECC experience has drastically been altered for the worse.

I am not sure how much my opinion will count, but, here goes. I own a 200x200 wheat farm with two floors. I use this wheat farm quite a bit to make profit and have mixed feelings in regards to the price change.

On one hand, I am sorry to say I never experienced the profits Kuke and Andrewkm mentioned, yet, it may be possible that I was simply not farming the proper way. I am sad to see the amount drop so drastically especially considering it was one of my main sources of income.

On the other hand, if it is true, which I am forced to assume it was, then making 35k an hour is completely unacceptable. That being said, I feel I must ask if 13.5k is really that reasonable of an amount to be making. I suggest 16k per hour so it is still belong melons but is making a decent amount.

This all being said, economies of all types change, ebb, and flow. This is all being done to avoid inflation. Andrewkm is correct and very precise in saying that farming makes money out of thin air. Farming enters money into the economy that was not there originally. So, the real question is how do we find a balance between money entering and exiting the economy. The job of finding a balance falls on the server owner and he is doing the best he can, as he always has.

It's not really biased. If you don't care about the thing, you can select the I dont care option or the minor changes which I'm sure multiple people have to make.

 

What about the option to say i do care and i agree with the changes

 

Actually, tons of things enter money into the economy, farming just takes the bullet. When the mining world resets how many thousands of diamonds are entered into the economy. How much iron and gold as well?

I don't farm wheat often but it sucks for those that made it their main income. So it sucks now I have to pay more money to change it to something else

You have to understand that we are not only fighting for ourselves, but for the 150+ workers we've hired and more to come. This change simply makes the rich richer and the poor poorer. this is because with all these changes it has made owning either a pump/melon farm or a melon sword the only real way to make good $. At our farm we executed a daily operation in which we hired builders/residents who needed the $ to plant seeds. The pay is $200 per row OR $1800 is they finish the lvl. Now this has been going on for over a month now and i have yet to see a better paying job for the time and effort that it takes. just about all builders are clueless as to what to do, how to make money, and to get moving on the right path. At our farm we provide all 3 things. so really we are helping more people get used to the server which makes them like it more and want to play more since we helped them out. in the future this will create more donation purchases as well as more builders start to enjoy and learn to play on this server. i said that is makes the rich richer and the poor poorer because now with the price changes, we cannot hire people anymore and even if we could, they would only be paid a miniscule sum. the same also goes for other people doing the same thing as us. this makes the rich richer because they already own pump/melon farms and all have pumpkin axes and melon swords which is primary way to make any good $ now. this punishes all the new players. also melons are now the primary to make $ and it is only a 1-2 man job. so for everybody who already has a melon sword and farm they don't mind farming themselves because it is a single man job and they already have the resources to do so. unlike melon farming where you keep everything yourself, in our wheat farm we share the wealth with all of our workers. that is why we are only residents because we do not care about ourselves, we want everybody to benefit from it. This farm is that first step for new players to go in the right direction. Taking it away will only make it even harder for them to get started and make some $ to help them get started.

 

King you don't decide if its necessary and as for wheat prices 35k/hour is absurd no matter how much typing you do it's still absurd. People pay 300k for a melon sword so why should you make more money because you type? People could make an insane amount of money not to mention it was basically being spawned from nothing so it was nerfed. ECC is a hardcore economy and being that it is a economy prices are going to change.

 

This is a hardcore economy server. Making $ should be based on using your brain to come up with ideas and methods to make $ that nobody else has thought of. It should NOT be based on doing what everybody else does and just buy melon swords and farm all day. What we created was that difference

 

And it was decided that it was too good congratulations on that you found a way to make a lot of money quickly. Although you're right in the sense we should find new ways to make money, farming just adds and adds money to the economy so it is nerfed. So that is one area that you should not bother looking for easy ways to make money as it will have to be nerfed.
