Minecraft Name: Zardgyer Suggestion: Make an actual VIP chat. One for $1000+ players. Reason: At some point vip will have actual rules, even if they're more lenient. As the highest donators, I believe the current rules for /ch v should be applied to this new chat. This chat would be only for the most elite ECC players, the ones that have achieved the highest level, and for them to discuss matters concerning themselves. The name would be /ch mvp or /ch $, though I'm not sure if the $ would work with the plugin. Any Other Information: All mods would still have access to the chat of course, so they can moderate it. Loosely.
I like this idea, but it will require custom code (most of which we already have to calculate the purchase amount), and will have to write this up, however with the massive plate of to-do stuff me & jamie have at this time, it's not something I can immediately activate. We're so backlogged it's insane, and it's only Jamie (who's doing university) and I these days when it comes to backend dev/hardware stuff. Once we get through our entire to-do sheet, we'll designate like 1-3 days going over suggestions, we've already talked about doing so, it's just we're swamped as ever.
I'm not saying I'm against it but... what exactly is the point if it has the same function as /ch v? We have global and we have /ch v which is just a more lenient version of global. Why create another chat with the exact same purpose except restricted for vip+? I think the channel would just end up being dead. If it's because you think that it will increase donation sales, I don't see that happening, but who knows?
I'd like to see this, it would be a lot better than having it all in VIP chat. VIP chat can be for users who donate 15-1000$ and The new chat can be for users who donate $1001+. This would be a lot better so the younger kids do not see such nasty stuff that may affect them in a bad way. +1 I support this!
You mean the ones who have bought lots of features? if you wanna do based on the ones who have achieved the highest level. it should be something to do with rank, rather then how much money you have sunk into ECC +1 for the concept. -1 to how you want to implement it.
I'm not really supportive for more new things that you have to pay for, no matter how big or small in this case. Would just take up more time from development of other items in which everyone has access to. This only contributes to the to very 1% of players and does nothing for anyone else that's positive, in fact it's just another channel for the mods to moderate and draws people out of global chat which is already dead at times, if it's even used after the first month. While it's still a nice concept, its really just a small simple feature that would have a small effect on the game, and is why I don't think it do us that much good.
-1 I want to be able to talk in vip chat with lighter rules because I supported the server. No matter if someone has one feature or all of them, you took the time and money to help the server. We don't need two vip-like chats, it's redundant, and also would ruin the point of vip. It's just another chat with the same rules as global.
Creating an elite chat for a group so small they probably won't have anyone to talk to in that chat. Might as well use PMs because there are only a handful of big donators online. Even ch v doesn't see much use as is. And I have absolutely no idea why anyone would want a dead channel for anything beyond "because it's elite". AKA, it's a channel to give people the idea that they're important. Because they're "elite". "Elite" is dumb. Always has been. Not to mention /ch v is perfectly suitable for this purpose already. Sure, it has *some* rules. But if you don't like that you could always just use PMs or party chat. Where you can do whatever the fuck you want.
