This idea (balance limits) will probably be an instant-no. I'm not even for it, so I will put it in a spoiler so you don't have to get angry. lol Spoiler Mayors / Presidents with less than 5 towns get a 1 Million balance limit. Presidents with more than 6 towns get a 2 Million + balance limit. If you have less than 5 towns, you don't need more than a million at once; or the likelihood is very slim. By limiting a balance to such a high amount, huge amounts of money can't sit in one user's balance. "In theory," money would go to other users who will actually use it. Economy wouldn't be or seem so inflated, as users who actually want to spend will have the money. This would cause issues with the lottery and rich people, so it probably wouldn't work too well ... We need more money dumps; ones that don't give huge benefits, or do give "huge" benefits, but are really worth-while and useful. Ideas (some mine, some not): Donation for Eco$ Spoiler Cheap donation features for EcoDollar value multiplied by 4, 5, 6, or 7 - i.e., Water/Ice for 50k, Pyro for 70k, Unlimited LWC for 40k, etc. (Prices can be changed.) Expensive donation features for EcoDollar value multiplied by 3 or more - i.e., Fly for ~240k+, ExtCommands for 90k+, etc. (Prices can be changed.) By adding some (NOT ALL - I would suggest the cheaper) donation features for EcoDollar purchase, we can get rid of some of the extra money in the economy that no one is using. What the donation features are is what people really want, so it would be bought. HOWEVER, since they would be more than 3 TIMES the price in conversion, donating would still be the best option. If Fly was 240k, you would need to essentially donate $200 dollars for it if you wanted the EcoDollars instantly. Meaning, anyone who spends hours upon hours of farming/mining (hard work) OR who wins the lottery and has money they don't know how to use, can buy Fly for an expensive price. I don't think donations would go down much, as donating for any feature available for EcoDollars would be a much better and cheaper solution. Instant prize > time consuming prize. Donation would be the better choice. More or Larger Hospitals Spoiler Last I knew, some people wanted larger hospitals. I don't know if they can even be made larger, but if they can, I think it would be worth adding size upgrades or making the default size increase and raise the price for Hospitals. 10x10x10 isn't very large, and anyone who wants to make a real hospital building can't have the whole thing or section heal. I would actually buy a hospital if I could have up to 25x25x10 or something. I don't know how much the price would rise, but it would be whatever works best with default size increase/size upgrades. I think default size would be better, as there would be less applications. Possibly allowing multiple hospitals in a region (if possible) could work, too. They could stay 10x10x10, then, and people can just group them together. Being able to add multiple small PVP arenas may interest people as well. I can't think of anything else right now.. I'm tired, and I should have been asleep earlier. >> I do want to know what else could be money dumps, though - what everyone wants that they could buy with EcoDollars. Clearly we need to get money out of the economy, but without knowing what people would want to actually buy, well.... derp. Suggesting plugins that add something probably isn't the best solution, unless there is a very good argument for adding it. Think about what we have that could be changed, or something we have that isn't active. And... even think about the forums. I'd like more stuff to buy on the forums, but right now I can't think of anything. lol
I like the idea of being able to purchase donation features with eco$. But instead of 3x it should be the same as the spawn shop price(4x)
Andrew has pumped up growth and chunk loading size temporarily. Why not have a money dump that gets him to do that for 30 mins? Two money dumps in fact. Chunk loading size increase from 1 to 5. 250k for 30 mins. Growth rate from 100% to 300%. 500k for 30 mins. This option would only be available say... twice a week at alternate times? Like 9am Saturday and 6pm Sunday?
