Where have all the mobs gone?! What happened to the days of ranching and defending yourself from nasty creepers?! Mobs need to be re-added to ECC, if not everywhere, then a separate world where they spawn NATURALLY. Please think this over! If you disagree, please come up with CREATIVE reasons against this. (not, "No causes too much lag," or, "No, too hard) Thanks!
I believe mobs only spawn from spawners in the mining world currently. It would be nice if they spawned naturally, but unfortunately I don't see them coming back.
I know, I ask on chat if mobs spawn, APPARENTLY they do... When was the last time you saw, say, an ENDERMAN in mining. Exactly...
I've seen multiple, though the endermen are already really rare in singleplayer, I've gone days without seeing them

Would love to see them more common in the Mining Worlds. It would add some random difficulty to the game.
Mobs do spawn in the wild, mining world, and nether, and while they are rare, I have had my fair share of creeper encounters. That aside, I think ECC should at least make them less rare, but at the same time this does cause a decent amount of laggage which is a pain in.
Hello, There seems to be a little confusion. So, Mobs spawn in the Mining World and The Nether only. Our mob spawning is actually decent, that isn't the problem. The problem is that people kill everything on sight and go hunting. They make it harder for you to find things. Further, there is an hourly butcher which will every hour destroy all mobs. I realize from your post that you feel 'it causes lag' is a horrible excuse. Needless to say, that is the truth. The server needs to continue running smoothly. When you consider that a 5000x5000 area is constantly loaded by players and constantly spawning mobs that the server needs to have memory for. This causes a lot of lag. If you want more mobs, find a spawner. Revanrose6
I found an endermen once when mining, though I rarely mine. It nearly killed me as a resident, never want to seeo ne again. Onto the actual topic, the hard truth is mobs cause lag. If you wish to farm exp find a spawner or go mob hunting. I have found many mobs, you just must be willing to spend time looking for them.
