When I was buying the aether (Pilot) I thought there was going to be different mobs then the ones in minecraft but it just all turned out an extra building players floating on top of the void. Isn't it supposed to be above the main world and when you fall down you hit the main world

Well, it never says that it is like it lol. It specifically says it's a build world, not a completely different type of minecraft.
Did you think if you built your city up high enough, you would reach the Aether? Would that have given you perms in the Aether since perms in the town are from top to bottom. Why purchase Aether perms if this is the case?
In all honesty the aether is a complete waste of money, unless u plan on building something cool, that most people will never see. I think to go in collation with the selling of monster spawners in the nether star shop, the aether should enable the spawning of passive mobs, it would be nice to have meat more accessible, as it is considered a valued item on this meatless server. The enablement of passive mob spawning would also increase trade and commerce among players, it is a favorable move for everyone!
Yes I agree if Andrewkm really wants the aether to be good he should put a lot of mobs and that will convince more people to buy it and if they can't buy it the will attempted to sell gift cards then get money and then go to the aether andrewkm so Andrew you should put more accessories to the aether and people might buy it more
The aether isn't for farming mobs, it's for creative builds. Farming anything should be kept in the main/mining worlds.
"The Aether" is not at all like the mod, there are no new mobs, no new blocks, and or anything that would require a client modification. What it actually is was Notch's attempt at making the Aether's generation code, thusly called "The Skylands" which is actually what it is. The skylands really is just a free build world where you get banned for greif, with Videowiz92 dominating it with his insane castle
The REAL aether mod is like a hevan biom with a water portal (Opposite of nether which is hell) with flying mobs and stuff
and also if someone builds a house but doesn't claim it are you allowed to claim it. my mind just went blank
