I have gone mineing and i have found mobs in the caves. I am in a spawn portle. I have died from these sence i thought it was a server with no mobs. if you are getting this now its 4/24/2012 at 7:55 i am starting to play and im waiting untill the next day. Hope you can fix this. Soccerdude2011
Some monsters can be found in caves due to them having spawned a long time ago when mob spawning was enabled everywhere. They hung around because no one had found and killed them, or been in the chunks when /butcher happens.
