So first of all, I didn't know if this should be in General, or Mining World, or Economy section, so sorry in advance if a mod has to move it. Now, I have played since beta opened and I have encountered a lot of mining methods, ECC ive been on for I think 2 + years(my great memory at work) and I still cant seem to find conclusive methods on ECC for mining with an EFF 7 and EFF 5 for the best ECD per hour, so without further ado, 1. (I know about Zard's 100x100 mining data and since that is a small area, it can be wrong.) What is the best level to mine on for best ECD per hour? 2. What method is the best for max ECD with eff 5 when I have pyro plus, fly +, water + and pretty much every donation I could want? is it Branch mining, and if so how many spaces in between each mined column? 2? 3? 4? 3. What method with eff 7? Spray and pray? straight line 2x1? Or just more branch mining, also what speed for /speed with an eff 7 on the spray and pray? This is the first time I've posted for help in a long time so thanks in advance! PS. Mining level is 386 and I have MCMMObonusplusx2 and MCMMOplusx3 features
I make around 25k/hour and 18k/hour with my method depending on the mining world. 1. Use eff7/eff5. For stone, iron, and gold use eff7 and as soon as you hit lapis, red stone, diamonds, or emeralds, switch to your eff5 for3. Have /sell all pt'ed to coal ore so you can easily sell everything. Then sell exp and put your ores in a cockpit when done. 2. 2x1 with eff7 then fortune all ores in the mining world when done. Sell exp and everything else.
Why does everyone say just y:11, you are better off at y:9 and mining two high up to y:12. Also I kinda mine massive walls away at a time, and go around in a circular motion around a large box that I create. So like 4 blocks wide and 2 high and I just continue that until I hit a set boundary I make. I also go kinda over board and fill in all holes in the floor and ceiling with stone and fill lava, so that I have a big empty room that allows for mobs to spawn especially creepers, shh don't tell anyone my secret. You don't have to refill the ceiling, I am just ocd sometimes when I mine lol, heck you dont even need to refill the floor, again that is me, but my mining method makes me a solid 25k+ an hour including the stone, dirt, dirt drops, and even coal. I do not sell hand anything except music discs. I toss everything material wise in my spawn shop and get even more profit than 25k per hour but it just takes slightly longer to get the returns.
This seems a little confusing but it does seem like it works. I have a few questions though, would you mind if I pm'ed you Ingame about it?
Maxing out mining profit is about maximizing the number of new blocks that you reveal. Each new block revealed has a chance to be an ore, so the more you reveal, the more $$/hour you'll make. As a small benefit, each block you break is another cobblestone/stone for you to sell as well. This concept explains why 2x1 tunnels work best for Eff5 miners. With this tunnel shape, you reveal 4 new blocks with every block that you break (left, right, behind and either top or bottom). No other method can match 4 blocks revealed per block broken. The problem with Eff7 (for me) was that to really use its full power I would have to run at max speed straight ahead. However, this would cause "ghost blocks" for me and I would get stuck in them. With Eff7, the solution is to slow down and use what you call the "spray and pray" method. My technique was to look from left to right across the top row of blocks, then right to left across the bottom row of blocks, inching forward as I go. This method has a lower blocks revealed per block broken than a 2x1 tunnel. However, it has a much higher total number of blocks broken because you can use the full power of the Eff7's speed non-stop. In the end, the spray and pray method reveals more new blocks per second than the 2x1 tunnel does when you are using Eff7. *thoughts on hold, gotta go back to work* Sent from my LG-VM701 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah I used to do the 2x1 with speed 10 and my eff 7, but it wasn't ghost blocks that were my problem, it was I kept running into lava a ton and it just annoys me lol.
You mine at y:11 because of the lava. Lava sits at y:11. If you mine at y:9, you'll get lava poured on you. That's the main reason, as well as diamonds are extremely abundant at that area.
Diamonds are extremely abundant on y:9-12 not just 11, though I do have to agree with the stupid lava being on y:9
I like 10, 11 and 12. Last time I researched this, I found these three to be the best and they were nearly tied with one another. I should try to study this again using the new dollar values for mining goods. What I remember is that the best levels are 10-->14 (10 is the floor, 14 is the ceiling). So, if you stand on 10, 11 or 12 then you will be breaking only blocks in this range. I will try to take another look at this issue sometime. Sent from my LG-VM701 using Tapatalk 2
