Suggestion:I have heard all this complaining about pumpkin farming being far superior then everything else which I still believe to be true, but why not make mining more beneficial to players like myself who don't make as much from mining and can't overprice the ores I get as I don't own a server store or shop right now and don't plan on it. I think that the mining prices should be raised to be even with farming prices. I don't normally mine because of how little money you make compared to others even though its fun to switch from farming to mining to enchanting but with the prices that are now I still would rather farm as I will be getting more money. Mining makes about 5k-10k a hour depending on what you find while farming still makes probably around 5k-20k a hour depending on which type of farming. I think coal, redstone, lapis, iron, and even cobble/stone should all have an increase and a big one too. I would say diamonds but there isn't a set price for that but maybe there should be. I know this hasn't helped on actually setting a price for them but I hear talk about farming and mining not being equal so why not make mining prices higher then dropping pumpkin prices lower.

in my opinion I think only redstone, lapis and gold should get a raise, redstone only a tiny bit because it's everywhere and lapis and gold because they are rare.

    Redstone to something like $3.00
    Lapis to $5.00
    Gold to $20.00

as for the other ores, they are very common and even with mining making little raw profit there is still diamonds profit.(around 2-3k)
And with a higher mcmmo you also get more drops, so you can make around 2-3k more with a higher mcmmo level.
I am also against having mining equal to farming but I do agree that it needs a little price buff.

Ok I can see why Iron and stone wouldn't cost more but I don't see why you wouldn't want to make mining equal to farming. Farming even though it takes up a certain space doesn't require you to find new caves and isn't depleted after you break it as it will grow back in most cases. When mining you have to find new caves, which I find a lot more fun then digging rows, and once you explore the cave its done you have to find a new one and hope that someone hasn't been there before you. In farming you know the set price you will probably make in a hour, but not in mining so I think the range an hour should be more like 10k-15k but with these slight increases I am not sure thats possible I will do some calculations by mining for an hour and seeing what I get. If anything I actually think that mining should be higher then farming but thats just me.

Ok I went mining for an hour and these are the items and prices I got.

Items Found: Server price money made:
    Coal- I found 781 $781
    Red stone Dust- 991 $2477.5
    Gold Ore- 66 $660
    Iron Ore- 114 $855
    Lapis (Dust?)- 369 $1476
Diamond- 53 $5300 estimated at 100 each as there is no server price.

Altogether I made 10,994.5 which is probably the most you can make in an hour, but I was using a fortune 3 Pick which changes the amount of diamonds, red stone, coal, and lapis that I found. From the Info that I got I think the prices should be this:

    Coal- 1.25
    Red stone Dust- 3
    Gold Ore- 20
    Iron Ore- 10
    Lapis (Dust?)- 10
Diamond- can't add a price here as there is no sever price.

With all these changes I still would make only 15,399.25 which would be the max as I had a fortune 3 pick. Which someone said pumpkin farming makes about 8k to 18k. Kuke, I know you said that iron and coal shouldn't get a price buff, but I believe coal should as that gets used the most to smelt and such along with iron as most people who can't afford diamonds use iron. Farming would still be superior but there would be something to compete with it instead of seeing a whole town with pumpkins you can see a lot more tunnels in the mining world, which is why I think the next one should be bigger but idk if that would cause to much lag. @kukelekuuk00

Comparing mining and farming profits, ores prices should be raised to where the money u get for mining an hour=the money u get for farming an hour

If you mean " where do they get the statistics" people go out and farm or mine for one hour. Then they see how much moneys they madein that one hour. Farming in general can make a maximum of 20000 ecodollars per hour in optimal cases. Mining in an optimal case in the mining world could make around 15,000 assuming no deaths occur and the diamond price = 100. As for prices, they are set by the wonderful server owner AndrewKM. Hope this answers your question

These statistics aren't as accurate anymore after 1.3, but I don't think mining ever had a boost after my post.

    Ok, so things change.

Now back to the topic at hand. (I know this is old, I just didn't want to really make a new topic when there was already an old one here)

Point One: Minecraft. Need I say more?
