Help, My minecraft seems to be running out of memory and crashes whenever i do pvp or farm. It says to "Install Java Virtual machine" - Can someone provide a link to it and explain to me what that is? Here are the crash reports i have been getting
Hi, I had this problem, and now I've fixed it, here's how i did it: 1) Downgrade your Java to Update 1.6.9 this has worked for me and it runs smoothly. 2) If this fails, RAM is to blame, Now go onto your Desktop, have a shortcut to minecraft there. Next open up a Text File in Notepad (Or Similar) Really i Need To Know Your Computer RAM) But anyways once you've opened your text file past this into it: java -Xmx3191M -Xms3191M -jar "Minecraft.exe" Then, you want to do "Save As" then save it as Minecraft.bat. Now you should see an icon on your desktop with a Cog on it, symbolizing a Bat File. Now You have allowed 3 GB to minecraft, if you want less just right click on the bat file and click edit and change the numbers... Now every time you open minecraft you just use the Bat file but still keep the standard minecraft launch application on the desktop as the Bat file is connected to it. If this doesn't work you really only have one other option: 3) Check all your divers are up to date! Your graphics driver (Nvidia, e.t.c.) Your java file is not corrupted and other things. If this all fails head over to the minecraft forums and post the above into the forums and see if anyone else can help... Hope This Helps, Kalvb123
RANDOM2580, I am no expert at this but it looks like it is something to do with minecraft trying to access your graphics card, my suggestion would be to make sure all your graphics card drivers are up to date, other then that I have no clue... I could be totally wrong
Yes, this seems to be the problem, but using what i posted may also help... Try The Graphics Card Diver First... Whoever is your graphics card provides , contact them directly and they should be able to check for you...
Actually, the ram that minecraft auto allocates is perfectly fine, i get over 2500 fps with only 1gb allocated What id say the problem is, the graphics card you have is incompatible or the drivers not updated or you dont have compatiblity with opengl
ahahahahaha, not always, i had the exact problem, my graphics card and all drivers were up to date, and i added more ram, and it worked, not always about FPS, there are other things involved, i am a mod developer!
It's almost never ram. I have my java still at the 512MB it usually allocates. I'm also able to read the crashreports, which provides information about what happened. What I gathered was that he had network and opengl problems, the first and second could both be caused by a broken java build, the second could be caused by broken graphics card drivers, too. I also noticed that he has a modded minecraft, so it could also be caused by a mod that interferes with things. so RANDOM2580 needs to remove all versions of java you may have and then re-install the latest java 7 build, Check for updates for his graphics card drivers, and try again with a clean version of minecraft. (without mods)
I use better sprinting mod, Macro mod, and optifine http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...to-sprinttoggle-sprint-compatible-w-optifine/
