Mine of DutyWelcome to the official page for the event Mine of Duty (M.O.D)! officepwnz123 and I came up with the idea, but we are pretty sure similar events exist. M.O.D is an event where teams will be split up and fight to the death! It will all begin with 32 players and four teams of eight. Once each team has fought, there will be 16 players remaining, meaning four teams of four. Again, once they fight there will be 8 players and two teams of four. Both teams fight, leaving four players for a 2v2 match; which will then turn into the final match. An area roughly the size of 200x200 will be built just for this!*Thanks/Credit to Unknownrider for coming up with great/effective rules* Player Rules All regular ECC rules apply. No use of McMMO abilties, can be turned off with /mcability, and no use of axes. No use of ANY potion. Will get an instant DQ for the round. You may also not use Gold Apples either. Snowballs and Fishing rods are allowed, but are up for you to decide on whether to use them or not. No use of hacked clients, you will be banned from ever participating in the event again and possibly banned from server. Bows are allowed. No enchanted items are allowed. Only non-enchanted items/weapons. Diamond gear is allowed. No use of donation features. Will get you instantly DQed and depending on what, banned from event. Match Rules All matches will not last 15 minutes or more. If one match does last this long, it will be considered a tie. If all three matches end in a tie, the team will choose one member from each team and these two members will fight to decide who moves on. If a user does not put forth effort and is stalling, running around, hiding, etc., this player will be eliminated from the match, basically it is like someone killed them. Fights will be given a set day and that normally last 1-3 days. Depending when players are available. Ex.) Begins Friday ends on Sunday. If a party member is missing, the team must continue with the match. The set date will be given about one week before event, giving the player plenty of time to make sure they are available. Friendly fire is enabled, unless you want to create an McMMO party for your teammates. We will not be supplying your team with a party. We recommend just fight and be careful. Know the players on your team! Other Information Each team will have a base, which will include trade signs with: Bows, arrows, Diamond armor and swords. Signs will most likely be restocked after each match. You will be responsible for your own armor, sword, bows, food, etc. We are hiring! We need 1-2 more player who must have the TP donation feature. Your job will be TPing people to their base or the spectator area. (1-2 people for spectator area, 1 person for each side.) Your salary will not be large, but you will receive some money. Applications will not open for a while though, so it will give you time to think about it! Fees will most likely be 5k to enter and win 75-100k. We are currently looking for an area that is pretty much untouched, in the main world. If you know any areas that aren't touched or that close to towns. It would be a great help to us , We are mainly looking for extreme hills or forest. Also the name contest is still open! Be sure to get those names in for a chance to win $5000 ECD!

Update: Building of the arena has begun! We are hoping it will take roughly 2-3 weeks to finish and by July the event will be under way! Also we are accepting donations of glass! Update: By the end of today, we will have roughly 60,000 glass blocks for the arena! Once the square dome is complete, we will begin work on the spectator area and then finally the arena itself. I may also open a few stands for people to sell whatever while the event takes place. *Added progress section to thread*
