ECC's HOTTEST event is here. The Midsummer Festival is BACK! Based in the rising spawn town of Tauron, the Midsummer festival is an annual opportunity for the server to unite and celebrate through games, quests and giveaways, all against the unique, beautiful and vibrant Midsummer backdrop. This year the zodiac team have been working hard with the admin team to make sure that this is the most memorable festival yet, and to bring something unique to our ECC community! The festival is now live, travel to Tauron and explore! Find a brief guide to some of the special events below! To celebrate midsummer we are introducing a brand new in-game currency which, for the duration of the festival, will be able to be exchanged for special, unique items! Tokens can be earned through completing quests and mini games, and can be won through participating in contests and giveaways. Travel to the prize tent in Queens Park to see what your tokens can be exchanged for, including the very special Midsummer Armour set! Can you get your hands on a whole set? The Midsummer Festival brings with it a whole host of festivities. Here's what to expect: Mini-games: From Apple-bobbing to traversing the colossal Midsummer Labyrinth, there will be 5 Midsummer 'mini-games' in the spawn town of Tauron that will be available for the entirety of the festival. All of these mini-games will be open to all players, and completion of each mini-game will result in obtaining a special trophy item. Collect all of these trophy items and you can exchange them for a VERY special midsummer prize! The Midsummer Market: Explore the markets at Kings Park in central Tauron and try to get your hands on a festive bargain! [Note: Midsummer baked goods are particularly good] Midsummer Games!: In true midsummer fashion, we’ll be hosting plenty of games and giveaways throughout the festival. Keep an eye out for announcements in chat shortly before a game begins for your chance to win prizes (including the much sought-after Midsummer Tokens)! In addition to the permanent mini-games, throughout the festival players will also be able to take part in 'Midsummer Quests'. These quests will be temporary content, typically lasting for a period of about a week. These quests will allows players to explore special never-seen-before areas, and will require you to use all of your skills to complete. Those of you who are able to overcome the challenges will be rewarded with a generous supply of Midsummer Tokens. Beware though, once these quests are gone, they’re gone forever, so be sure not to miss them! Keep an eye out for special stories relating to the history of the Midsummer festival. We will be releasing a special series of lore-posts here on the forums throughout the festival. For now why not read The Fires of Hestia, and discover the origins of Midsummer. Laugh in the face of those who discouraged you from doing that art degree: https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/midsummer-art-contest-2016.153542/ Deadline: 1st August --- Trying to get your head around where to find everything? Here's a handy map of the festival, with some key locations and activities pointed out. But remember, if you're ever particularly stuck just message one of the organisers and we'll be happy to help you! And a special thank you to @Joliver @OlympiansAreGods @Nicit6 & the whole of the admin team for all of their contributions and helping to make this festival a reality.
Tokens can be earned through winning games/giveaways (which will be hosted regularly throughout the next 2 months - just watch out for advertisements in game), and through completing midsummer quests. The Midsummer quest chain will start very soon, and will give everybody the chance to earn their tokens through taking part, so keep an eye out and make sure not to miss them!
How many different lore items are there throughout this entire event? @Mission001 Curator of Ecc Museum
No idea, Im nothing to do with the event xD I would like to get a set of all items for the museum though Hopefully i can get on sometime in the near future or buy a set from someone Good luck with the event!
Quick question: are we allowed to take advantage of any feature to complete the minigames, quests, etc?
I feel really noobish asking this but is there a warp I can take or do I literally just walk out of spawn and there's the town?
