Obviously with Minecraft's new update where fortune works on melons, they required a drop in price. This should not apply only to melon blocks, as it makes more sense to just use fortune on the melons rather than silk touch. This just doesn't make sense to me, since your melon block output would not be increased, as silk touch and fortune can't be on the same tool. Melons either need slices to be cheaper, or blocks to go back up to $4.50. It doesn't really affect the melon market, so it shouldn't have hanged the block price.
