Hi guys, just posting a quick tutorial on McMMO Parties and XP Sharing. Hopefully you can learn the benefits about McMMO here.

I'm unsure if ECC have modified the party config, so I'm basing it off the default plugin settings of xp % increase. Basically not only can you earn skill levels and abilities with McMMO but you can also create a group of players that work together in a party. Below you can see the party interface:

This is what a party screen looks like. You can create one by using /party create NAME. My party name is "Obble+Friends", it's invite-only so people require an invite to join (Duh!).

Next to that it says "Level: 10". This is the maximum level you can reach with your party. Similar to McMMO levels, you level up your party by earning XP with any skill. It took me about 20-30 minutes to get from level 1 to 10 with an eff7 mining. Every few levels you'll earn bonuses for your party.

Your party starts at level 0, upon reaching level 1 you may use party chat. This is like having a chat channel all to yourself and is accessed via /p. This will turn party chat on, you'll be unable to use other chat channels (Besides PM) while talking in party chat.

The best feature however, is the level 10 "XP Sharing". Turn this on with the command: "/party xpshare equal"

    ============================================================
    How XP Sharing works

XP Sharing can be complicated to figure out, at least the maths side of it anyway. Basically, when XP sharing is on, all of your XP earned is split between the party. So if you earn 10 experience alone, while near 9 other party members (10 total), each party member will receive 1 XP each.

Seems like you just lose XP right? Not exactly, for every party member within the XP sharing range, you gain a bonus of 10% when sharing, with new members giving an XP bonus as shown below.

Near Party members - XP Share bonus
    1 - 10%
    2 - 15%
    3 - 20%
    9 - 45%
    10 - 50%
    11 - 50%

So if you have 10 members, you're actually getting 15 experience (Using the 10 experience example) which will be split. This essentially makes leveling 50% faster assuming all 10 members are pulling their weight.

Have a look at this image from the McMMO Development page:

You must be within 75 blocks from another player earning XP to share XP with them. As you can see, they have 2 people within the range, which is 1 near party member to player 1. This gives them an XP bonus of 10%. Instead of one player gaining 100 XP, 2 players gain 55 XP each.

Hopefully you can understand how party XP sharing works now, and realize that it's more efficient to share XP as a team if everyone is contributing. ECC have reduced the XP gained from McMMO activities but the rates still apply (If these are unchanged). I look forward to seeing more parties group up and work together to level up McMMO skills with the additional XP bonus!

I think the percentage is different on ECC. I think we have modified it so that it limits the max at 5 players or around there. I'll try to find the figures.

Alright, that'd be great thanks! I was just basing it off McMMO default values. I know XP values have been modified but wasn't sure about the actual sharing rates.
