Far as I know, higher acrobatics increases the chance of less damage you take when falling. I don't remember what else, I wasn ever a fan of it... Gotta fall and survive to get skill. You can try googling "mcmmo acrobatics" and a wiki page with info should come up. Moving to Help / Support - more people will notice and help.
