the expansion will be on all sides of the old map right? According to andrews picture it looks like it will epxand in 3 directions. But the expansion wil be around the old map, with old map in the center?
Assuming that he's expanding it in the way that he did last, yes. Though the picture is misleading. I guess we'll have to wait for a server official to comment here.
Well he said it will be getting four times bigger, so im assuming that means the old map will be one corner of a square with 3 new maps.
I agree with Slayer., based on the picture. But like Mard said, last time he expanded in all directions 3,000 to get the 15K. The drawing does show double the distance to the north, northwest and west, so I'm guessing that he is just expanding it like the way the picture shows. Although, I personally think it would be super cool to see it go in all directions adding up to the same dimensions. I'm just excited for some new land to explore!!
This a crazy large map now! I hope no one ever complains about space again after this. It would take god only knows how many years to fill up this new beast with towns now.

So, I have to ask you andrewkm, does this mean that spawn towns will no longer be at the east, west, north, south arrangement they are now, because with where you put spawn, it looks like you changed that whole thing too.
Adding on to what you said: The miners are going to love this too, it will take months to exhaust all the caves and abandoned mines and strip ores. This is going to temporarily be a new miningworld without pvp. Mardigan, what say you about rapid ore decay now :3
