my brothers town has been greifed 3 times in 3 days because noobs(manly builders) dont think u can be banned, u need to make this more obvious mabey make a rules room at entrance because at the moment i end up telling most the builders who buy ploots the rules. please help it might take longer from spawn but would mean less reports of greifing and cheating!
Just make sure you sell plots to trustworthy people and you can just tell them the rules yourself. I believe there is a reference to the rules page at spawn. if people don't read that board then changing anything won't help.

We don't need the rules made clear in-game... We have rules on the Wiki for a reason. Having users get on the forum and Wiki is extremely important; there are more than just rules to look at. Commands, rank information, prices, available applications, news, etc. This, too. And instead of explaining the server rules to builders, require them to come on the forum, go to the Wiki, read the rules, and have them quote something to you as proof they read them. :b
How about that in order for them to build or do anything on the server, they have to make a forum account and accept all the rules ingame by going /rules accept. Idk, I just saw this on another server.
By playing the game the agree to the rules. In real life all you have to do to agree to your law, is be in the country you are in. Ignorance of another countries law isn't an excuse and will still see you punished. A game is no different. Using an external 'agreement' like that is slow and tedious. There is no hooks that a forum nor a minecraft sever can use that I am aware of, and more importantly, would slow the process of starting a new sever. With that in mind, the idea to use the forums first then minecraft isn't something that could be used, however if there was a way to generate that in game, have the game client create the forum account and ask if you have read the rules on wiki might work. Its all about delivery. So far the only thing I have seen on other locations is players reading signs looking for a secret message - thou I seriously didn't like that concept.
Also, for some reason most people don't know this command, but tell builders to type /rules! No grief is the first one :3
