IGN : Theory5 Suggestion: I propose that we make it a punishable offense to push someone who is AFK into a PVP area. Reason: I do not see any reason why this should NOT be a punishable offense, as it does not benefit either the players or the economy itself, instead only benefiting greifers (players who play the game to cause others grief and anguish, rather than to obtain the most levels or gold). The only problem with this I can see is in implementation. Unfortunately, in this type of situation the admin's would probably need some sort of proof, which would be kind of hard to obtain, given that most people only take screenshots, not video. However, I figure that since you guys have things like block-history and the access-control stuff on the world gates, you would probably have some sort of module that records who goes through gates when, and people who go through within 1-2 seconds of the victim would be suspect. That combined with a screenshot should be sufficient proof to warrant punishment. Either that or an AFK plugin that not only leaves a message, but roots you to the spot too. But I think that would be impractical unless there is someone who thinks this is an awesome idea or is great at coding and wouldn't mind a little extra work.
It is too hard to regulate. If we make a rule about this, people will expect punishment, and thus will get andry if none can be given. Dont afk anywhere near pvp zones, because it is very hard to catch. However, i imagine that afk plugin might be useful. Still, i repeat, do not afk near any pvp.
I have a hard time realizing why people just don’t take the second to log off, really it’s not that hard.
If only it were that easy... It's be awesome if it was. It's not always that easy for some players. Sometimes, when Andrew is doing fancy things with the server and lowers the player count, you won't want to log off because you won't be able to get back in.
I like the idea, but if someone afks when they are in/near a pvp area, they really only have themselves to blame....
