With diamond prices being low, we should all come together and change that! This idea especially would help miners, who don't make much money! If all miners do this, I'm sure everyone else would follow! My idea is that: 1. Users who have EXT Commands/ExT Commands+ Charge more for E Repairs, Regular Repairs and Anvil Combines/Repairs! 2. Users charge more money for Diamonds in their spawn shops! I don't mean like change it to 1k per, but $75 per would be reasonable 3. Mining still makes loads of money, i can can make at least 10k an hour which is more than fishing. 1. wouldn't affect diamond cost much if anything at all. 2. you wont be able to get everyone to raise diamonds someone will go cheaper to be able to sell more. 3. after map expansion there is not shortage of diamonds.

I remember back in the day, when good ol' diamond prices were $100. But then again most prices were higher than they are now.
You touched on the main reason why diamonds are so cheap in point #1 - Enchanted Repairs. After a person gets their full diamond gear there is no more need for them to get diamonds.. Think to yourself - when was the last time you needed diamonds? My answer is, when I was a new player on the server. The same thing happened with EXP when anvils came out. Their was a huge price surge in EXP so people could get their awesome gear (eff 5 unb3 etc etc). Fast forward a few weeks and now look, exp is dirt cheap because everyone keeps Enchanted Repairing their awesome gear. I am now sitting on 2 stacks of diamond blocks, 69 levels of exp and there is nothing for me to use it on.
Me too. It is simple supply and demand. I don't understand why people think they should be worth more. The market disagrees.
Two paths to increased diamond prices: 1. Remove diamonds from the server. 2. Increase demand for diamonds somehow. You can't just say "ok, everyone start charging X price from now on." you can't enforce that, so its just naive, wishful thinking. Andrewkm addressed #1 a bit by letting us sell diamonds to the server, but he has to be careful about not causing inflation. it is difficult to pull money out of any economy.
I wish a large group would agree to sell diamonds for $50 or $75. I would start pushing hard to sell mine for $35 to get rid of my huge stock That's why any attempt to get people to raise their prices won't work. Allowing players to sell diamonds to the server will probably help somewhat. I don't know how many people are actually hand selling diamonds. Another way a large group could get diamond prices up is to get a bunch of people to pool their money and get like $1,000,000. Then go around buying all the diamonds from every store and all auctioned diamonds. Post on /tr that you will buy unlimited diamonds for $25 each. Gather all the diamonds you can and ... throw them in some lava.
This is the economy server, I don't think you can force people to change the price of something to benefit yourself. and less mining world resets make it harder for people that have occupations as miners to make enough money for things.
Probably will have to advertise and buy them for a bit more than $25 to be appealing. Buy every diamond that isn't nailed down for $35-$40 each then resell them at $100. Or make a diamond house out of them somewhere. Or make a spawn shop that only trades in diamonds, buying out every single other diamond in the spawn market. Just need to be thorough in making sure that you where the one to hold all the diamonds. Id love to do it but for this sort of activities you would need more money than you have. Maybe a consortium of players working together to keep the status quo in our favor.
