What part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for:
    Main City Server
    Short title for your suggestion:
    Town renaming
    What are you suggesting:
I am suggesting that the staff team would make it possible to rename a town (for a considerable sum of ecd)
Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:
It would help take ecd out of the economy to help prevent inflation (the economy will become inflated soon because of the ISR system).
    Other information:

    Plugin or custom addition:

    One suggestion per form:
    I Understand.

I don’t see how this would prevent inflation.

However... if this means @matrix_rep gets /warp debt back (seeing as you are its owner), I support it!

...for that one case. And then it should be removed, because of all the issues it could cause.

He is saying that it would help take $ out of the economy. Anything that removes $ from the player economy would technically help inflation.... but this takeback isnt on a large enough scale to have any real impact on the economy.

Anyway +1 to this suggestion as I think I even suggested it back in the day... but the response I got basically was that it would require too much work on the moderators end as well as permissions. When you add a member to a town its /rg addmember <townname> <ign> so if we change the name of the town, then that might cancel and remove all previous town members. Now that, I CAN see being alot of work. I guess you can suggest it being stupid costly like a mil or someshit to account for all the work necessary but meh

Yeah It would need to cost a large amount to help the economy and also so it's not overwhelming for the mods :)

What issues could it possibly cause? Also, Matrix won't be able to get /warp debt back because he is not the owner of the town.

HOWEVER I recall a few suggestions like this being denied in the past, however I feel like this could be much easier to implement now with a fresh server. I think that this could work like how town transfers worked on old main, just changing the name of the application ((NEW OWNER:...)(NEW NAME:....).

This was denied in the past I believe because of the issues of contracts, however I see it as a nonissue. If a town name changes, the contract should just work as normal.

No. This will screw up the entire naming process. If I name a town “town” then rename it to “farm,” then by technicality I will own both names since the original app would still be “town.” That wouldn’t be fair to the community. -1000

The original app would be mod-edited. After all, this would not create much work for the mods because the cost would be considerably high. This shouldn't be a problem.

Would still be a lot of work for the staff team and the person lookin for the name.

Simply not worth the massive overhaul I would have to do with our applications, threads, contracts, and god knows how many other places (think warps in game, database changes for current name, last position changes in several files, portals, etc). Simply put, never. ECC's town system is 8 years of complexity, not looking to change it and break a million things along the way.

    Pick a nice name :)
