What are you suggesting:

Similarly to the shout system we currently have, I'm suggest a chat channel or possibly just a command (/ad) that is a paid advertisement that allows for colored chat codes to be used. A possible price could be $100-$250 per advertisement as opposed to the $1000 for a shout. The difference between the two would be only advertisements would be allowed in the ad channel, also only color codes allowed, no other formatting. This would also make it very clear when someone is advertising a product vs. simply chatting in trade or something like that.​

Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:

This provides an alternative to users who have not purchased patron to use colored chat to attract more attention to their ads.​

I was thinking only charging if you use the color codes, otherwise there would no charge. You're simply paying for colors so your ads can have better visibility.

 

I was simply looking for a way for a user that doesn't have $75 to bust out on patron for a way to post an advertisement that has greater visibility than the normal grey chat. I was thinking like a google ads type deal where you pay a little bit for better visibility on your ads. I do get how shout could do the same thing, but like I said it is not really meant for advertisements. I understand I could just use shout, was just an idea, thanks for the response.
