In Game Name: DrowningInPizzaWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: Main City ServerShort title for your suggestion: EXP & Enchanting ToolsWhat are you suggesting: Assuming everything will be exactly as it was on Archive, I'm suggesting either a temporary price lower on how much exp it costs to enchant tools, OR allowing enchanting tables for a period of time on City. Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: On Archive, basic enchants such as Eff 5 cost a large amount of exp. Eff 5 costing 7k exp. Since we are starting brand new, we're not going to have a crap ton of exp floating around like we did on Archive, and having something as basic as Eff 5 costing something like 60 levels is going to be hard to obtain. I'm not sure if adding one of those in temporarily is possible, but it would really help in the beginning. Even adding a sign to buy exp with City ECD if that's easier.Other information: Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
why not just allow etables forever like we use to have? was dumb to disable them any ways new people always confused on how to enchant stuff.
Plus they were only disabled so as not to screw with the etool/xp market at the time. No market to screw with if they're enabled from the start
+1 because the initial reasons for disabling enchanting tables don't apply anymore. They were banned to prevent cheap max tools crashing the exp market, but: 1) From what I understand, exp will be the main way of getting nether stars on city. As long as people keep using exp to buy nether stars, the exp market shouldn't crash because of enchanting tables. 2) We used to be able to use trade signs to use the bare minimum amount of exp required, which is a big part of why enchanting tables were banned. Assuming chestshops replace trade signs on city, this won't be possible anymore, making enchanting max tools considerably harder when some exp will be wasted trying to enchant tools. 3) Like Nicit said, can't crash the market if there is no market yet
+1 I really like the thought of this and as Nate said the initial reason as to why enchanting tables were disabled will no longer apply on the new City server in which case we wont be able to easily get the exact max enchants we want right off the bat and we will have to waste xp and resources until we get those enchants that are good enough.
All of the above.. The problem is erepair but it is what it is. People are going to need access to anvils and those are not avail u less you have ext Cmds+ It would stimulate the erepair/anvil use markets as well with an increase in demand due to an increase in enchantments. As long as players charge for the services it will balance.. if everyone does it for free like before then that’s where we will run into issues...
Honestly didn't even know anvils were only for players with extcommands+ I don't see the issue with donators using anvils for other players though? I understand that we need certain donator-only features so the server gets money, but why is it a problem if I've bought that donation feature and decide I'll anvil stuff for anyone who needs it?
I think what @ajp79 means here is if everyone with the feature needed to use anvils etc does services for free then it will more than likely crash the market quicker as they wont have to also spend their money on 1. The feature itself and 2. The fees for the service meaning they would be able to easily get maxed tools by combining the ones they have. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the idea I'm getting.
I don't think the exp market is in any danger of crashing at all because of the reasons I mentioned. Just look at the skyblock market. Anyone can use anvils there, but it doesn't cause any issues.
But then again, on skyblock we don't have any star tools and the market is fairly new on skyblock considering it resets every so often as well as the fact ANYONE can use anvils and enchanting tables. There's no real way of crashing the sb market. The same reasons zombie pigmen spawners etc were removed (or never added not too sure) to the crates...
I agree, honestly when I originally purchased erepairs, it was to make money. I played a lot off peak and erepairs sold for $500-750 per.
+1 Enable Enchanting Tables for all, Also Storage for exp for all, oh and while we are at it, enable Repair on McMMo, (Should enable discs and enchanted books on fishing too. But i digress)(Maybe even Villager Trading in Mining world again too)
We will not be lowering the cost of enchanting, nor changing how enchanting tables work at this time. Archive has always been quite a difficult game mode. I'm not looking to make City a reset, ez pz, you win kind of thing. We're supposed to be a hardcore economy, and even then, the hardcore became a joke. Not looking to make it easier. Anyways, it is far too early to suggest a change such as this. We can rethink this in 6-12 months.
