This is what I got. Spoiler: Fishing inventory In 1 hour I got 1,909 EXP (Almost 4 nether stars) and $6,810 in fish (Before prestige bonus). Quite pathetic for a star rod. With a 2.5x increase on fish it should be possible to make about 17k an hour (Before prestige bonus). Cod $10->25 Salmon $20->50 Puffer $30->75 Tropical $40->100 Old hourly rate: 6810 New hourly rate: 5550(cod) + 7850(salmon) + 2625(puffer) + 1000(tropical) = 17025Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: More diverse ways to make money. Fishing recently got nerfed vanilla EXP wise. It doesn't make sense at all to have a 1500 nether star tool be worse or almost equal to a Eff5 Fort3 pickaxe, or other non-star tool grinding methods.Other information: Just from what I gathered Raw cod roughly 52% of all catches - 222/424 Raw salmon roughly 37% of all catches - 157/424 Puffer fish roughly 8% - 35/424 Tropical fish roughly 2% - 10/424Plugin or custom addition: NopeOne suggestion per form: I Understand.
+1 There is no point in attempting to fish with results like this. This suggestion is a prime example for users to not waste money towards a star tool that makes nothing. Since the vanilla exp nerf, I have been affected negatively on how I can make money on the server now. If anything, increase fish prices + boost the exp rate a bit as well.
Until we find a proper anti-auto-fish solution, no buffs will ever happen. If you are a fisher on ECC, we're sorry that our server isn't sufficient for you. Unfortunately Minecraft code sucks. The new mcMMO however has a potentially promising solution, but we will have to see how that plays out when the time comes. For now denying this as it simply won't happen.
