It's been months and nothing has been done with the town. The spawn towns were given away and non-arbitrarily, but now we've got a dead spawn town in the most crucial spot. It should be in the hands of someone who will make Spawn more exciting and appealing. I suggest a grace period for @Wholehog to build, but then an auction should he not comply. I am somewhat confused by this suggestion. I don't believe that it is possible to just take @Wholehog 's town. The only way is if it is legally claimed and that would require him to not be active. It seems as if he was seen on the forum in December, and was last in game 7 days ago. Maybe you could just reach out and offer to help him build? I would be more than happy to help out if needed.
It wasn't possible to claim towns... until it was. Anyway if we didn't do anything about KMax's 9 town nature preserve last go round seems pretty unfair to do something about a smaller one now. Wouldn't mind changing the direction of the spawnpoint if nothing ends up being done, though.
I mean, he did win the lottery for the town and there was no requirement he had to actually build anything on the town. Cant take it away just cause you don't like it.
Spawntown1 is mine (plus also built upon), so I would edit that in your suggestion. I don’t remember what spawn town is wholehogs, but it isn’t #1. As for the actual suggestion, just because you don’t agree with a town how it is doesn’t mean we should give it to someone else. Real life example: my campus has an open grassy area with nothing built on it. For sake of example, let’s say Jim owns the grassy area and it is next to a campus building that the university wants to expand. Jim paid for that area (and for sake of example continues to pay for it, meaning he will never lose it because he didn’t pay). The college doesn’t have the right to take that land from Jim unless they pay a price that both parties agree upon. TL;DR Wholehog paid for that area. Unless he agrees to sell it, it is unlawful for it to be seized unless he did something absolutely against the rules for it to be reverted back, which to my knowledge he didn’t, Just was not that active (which is stupid to seize land) TL;DR to the TL;DR: wait for him to be offline 6 months+ or permabanned (both for town claim) or make an agreement with Wholehog if you want something built there
i trust JDawger has some interesting ideas on what to put into that town- ive seen some of his other builds and they are quite nice. The last thing anyone wants is another builder town

As much as I appreciate the effort you are making to explain a point, eminent domain is a fact here it the USA and land is taken from legal owners all the time and many times the owners are not satisfied what is a reasonable price but the courts here actually have the final say.
iirc, universities cannot take land from owners. This was actually a big dispute we had years ago. Nonetheless, it’s irrlevant to the suggestion to continue this.
We're not gonna start seizing towns based on an arbitrary/subjective standard of "mayor didn't build enough". If the owner in question is truly inactive, there's options to claim the town and if not, one can always buy it out or make an offer to serve as a co-mayor, revitalize the town and share the profits with the owner.
