They don't actually condense, though. Personally I'd love a command like /craft [item] {#} to craft things in large amounts, like those above or stonebrick. Would make a great addition to either extcreations++ or extcommands++.
Condense is meant for blocks that actually condense. The code literally works in the sense that it actually follows proper Minecraft rules to be compatible with future releases. This is the reason sponges got the /soak command, as opposed to being added to something like /smelt.
