This is actually kinda true, on the inside, Macs are neat and simple, and PCs are a complicated mess! Example below = so true xD Title came from this: This is what computer doctors say! Neatness VS. Tangled Mess Macs definitely DON'T do this: Just plain LOLs I've seen this happen before, no joke! This: Totally true, lets see if it continues! Just a pointless thread with lots of humor!
Agreed!!! Mac is a BEAST compared to pc.... maybe not for gaming, but from browsing the web, to editing a full class film, mac kills pc..
Mac is business, college (school, I guess...) and daily activity. Also shiny with some neat programs/options. Windows is everything. Balanced, and better for gaming and high-end, heavy-duty programs. Mac is limited and pretty. Windows is unlimited and average appearance. Last Apple computer I used was a Macintosh thing. It did not support java, flash, firefox, chrome, opera, IE, notepad... So, basically, I have not used much of an Apple computer. However, I know people who use them and who also use Windows with an equal amount of time. Anyone I know who uses a Mac and has not spent many, many, many hours, with different types of PCs, usually clings to Mac... But anyone who has used both equally often agrees they are equal with different strengths, or Windows is better. And, of course, anyone I know who only has used Windows says Mac sucks ***. And and I looove when WIndows bugs out and makes draggy windows... D: Tis so fun, sometimes I can make rainbowz.
Nearly nothing in this thread is true... Edit: The second picture literally made me facepalm for a good 10 seconds.
Windows is capable of doing robust work, like gaming, virtualization, servers (ECC runs on windows), etc. (ignoring windows 8, because windows 8 is a failure) While mac is more refined and finetuned, it lacks the ability to do heavy work, the mac is great for browsing the web, editing video, editing photos, sound editing, etc. Each their own things. It's all about what you are using the computer for, this is why I don't like it when people say one is better than the other, they're not, because if one was better then the other would quickly stop existing.
Kuke's post, guys. Clearly, neither is better than the other in a whole, overall sense... Otherwise, one would be out of business--would have been out of business, a long time ago. Just like PS vs Xbox, pie vs cake, ice cream vs cookies, wine vs beer (vs liquor), iPhone/Apple vs Android... Everything is better than the other and suckier than the other. If something does not compete with something else, and starts to fall behind and lose audience, then something is "not as good as [...] ," "sucks," etc. 'cause, usually, they..go out of business, or fall into the shadows and only supernerds use them. xD
Yeah I have a Mac right now but I'm pretty damn frustrated with the inability to run tons of programs that I would like to. Even McPatcher was easier to find for Windows than Mac. Most programs are made for Windows so I want that capability. Honestly, I'd use a Windows for regular, every-day use and my Mac for special things such as iMovie and Garageband (which I use quite frequently as a musician).
Except for the fact that the little bike would cost as much as the motorcycle and the motorcycle would cost as little as the little bike.
Also do i need to drag wewin or andrew into this, or even D0rc D0rc please explain both sides then explain why pc is better
[/quote] 1, PC is a general term for ALL personal computers (Even smartphones are PCs). 2, We're talking about operating systems, not hardware. 3, read my post.
Yeah, no need for me to argue either is better...because neither is better. It's all dependent on what you are doing with said computer. Honestly, for what I do all the time, I'd rather have a PC over a Mac, because it does what I want it to do. (and I'm biased since I only use PC and almost never touch Macs. ) Around Christmas time, I'll be getting a custom built windows 7 computer, because windows 7 is what I want for what I'm going to be using it for - sure, I may "not get viruses" on a Mac, but I know better than to install random stuff on my computer that isn't trustworthy anyway, I'm no idiot...this is why I've never once to my knowledge gotten a virus on my computer, I'm way too careful about what I download. It's as someone else has said in this thread - windows computers will only get viruses if you do stupid things with them. Honestly, I'm not going to give up a "good" computer oriented towards what I want just so I don't get a virus when I know better anyway. If I wanted my computer for something oriented towards business or anything Mac does well, I'd get a Mac. As well, if I really need to change a part on my computer once in a while, I will if it helps keep my computer doing what I want it to do - I have the money to spend to get what I want, so I'll spend it. Mac = PC - that's the current proven overall statement here. While for me, it's PC > Mac, for you it might be Mac > PC, but neither of these are true overall, it's just the preference of the person. Listing the benefits of Mac and the bad things about PC may make a Mac seem "better" at first glance, but in reality, there are a ton of benefits about PC and a ton of bad things about Mac, too. If you wish to see which is truly "better", you'd best not look at any biased sources - like any forum oriented towards talking about Mac computers, those are going to be filled with Mac lovers...just like if you visited the Minecraft forums, of course everyone there (most people, anyway.) will like or have played Minecraft...
No I meant as in I can't run .exe files properly. (I know about Wine but it doesn't work very well honestly. Brilliant program, however.)
Pros of a PC: -Much, much, MUCH faster -Easier to use -Can be very sleek and sexy with certain builds -Way easier to customize -Craptons of programs that only run on windows -By far the best software and hardware for gaming -Tons of peripherals that are pc only -Certian laptops can be thinner and sleeker than Macbook Airs -Real men use PC Pros of a mac: It's shiny Good video/sound editing software (oh, almost forgot about how you can download better programs for pc. whatever, I'll keep this here cuz they're pre-installed) Best Facebook Browsing Machine It comes with an apple on the back
