The LWC Limits for each rank have been lowered. This should mainly effect our builders and residents. The changes are as follows. Builder: 10 LWC's Resident: 50 LWC's Mayor: 150 LWC's President: 300 LWC's Tycoon: 300 LWC's EcoLeader: 300 LWC's Some users may experience an error. If you have 30/25(or any other number that goes over your limits due to the change), your locks should remain the same, but you will not be able to lock anything else.
Well I have 271/150 and on MANY of my chests, I can't do anything at all to them. Not even /cinfo. Personally, I hate the new limit. It screws everything up and it's annoying to find the random things I've locked so I can actually use my current chests -99999
Sorry, but how would this increase lag? To me, it seems like it's a way to influence more people to donate to buy Unlimited LWCs
You call this a MINOR change? This is a humongous change. I use lwc on signs in my town to mark who owns what plots. I also use them on doors on my low end condos, so that if a person leaves the server I don't have to worry about making an lwc request for the door. But, I guess I will have to remove those lwcs and if someone locks my doors then I'll just have to make lwc removal requests.
BTW, taking things away from people is usually a very bad idea unless it is for a significant and well articulated reason. I planned on eventually getting unlimited lwc, but feeling forced to do it earlier rather than later leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And the statement that it should mainly effect our builders and residents may be a nice statement to make to make you feel better about the change, but, I doubt that is true. Just look at who has responded thus far to this post: 2 presidents and 2 mayors. There should at least be a way without getting unlimited lwc to get more lwc up to the previous limits. If you want to decrease the limits, I would suggest giving Tycoon 500 lwc and EcoLeader 750 or something like that. Or give president 300 plus 50-100 per additional town above 2, or maybe implement both of the above. It is not like people are really going to abuse buying additional towns or Tycoon/EcoLeader just to get the unlimited lwc. I'm SURE they could find someone to buy unlimited lwc for them for a lot less than they would spend to get additional towns or Tycoon/EcoLeader. In fact, I would respond better to a post that said that ECC needs some donations because it is running in the red at the moment than what *seems* to be a coercive and covert push for donations.
Although I personally am not over my limit, I know many mayors+ who are, and are basically stuck until they can either donate for unlimited lwcs, or remove a bunch of locks, which I'm sure many of them need. This is mainly affecting all ranks, not just the residents and builders.
I currently have 150/300. You don't need to lock every thing you place. This post is more of an announcement, not a place to argue. Locked.
