I think that using game consoles as prizes isn't likely to be the best idea because most of the community is below 18 and would therefore have to have parental consent in order to receive the prize, and we all know parents can be pretty skeptical about these kinds of things. I think the best prize that you can give without having to deal with all this would be either a big shop card or just ecodollars.
Computer part(s) (computers worth having aren't anywhere near $500), ECC coupon, or ability to get games/Steam games.
A computer would be nice but I think some users (myself included) would like a coupon code for the possible total value on a site like Newegg or Amazon. Also could there be that the [x amount of dollars] can be used to be bought any gift card coupon of equal value instead? Another option might be the money then could be decidedly sent to a charity as well?
