My idea is to have ECC's lottery like in real life where if you win, you have to pay taxes. You could then remove the buy tax, and replace it with that tax. Like, if you won 100k, 5k would be taken off. Or whatever percent you want. Might need some coding from the dev team, but it would help the economy. If anyone wants to add anything, go ahead.
So say there's a 5 percent tax on winning, so for a 100k pot you only get 95k. ... How is this in anyway different from the tax system now? For every $1,000 that is put in, $50 is removed from that $1,000. The end result of a 100 ticket lottery? 95k is won. Again, how are the two systems different?
Terrible idea.... there is no difference here. The only thing that should be changed is the limit. It gets annoying when its the same two people winning... just because they can dump 100g's worth into the pot at the last second.
Its just annoying when its two people winning it. You will have someone else win but its normally just the two people. What bothers me is when they win the loto they will instantly by like 20 tickets then say o I won't snipe it... but as time goes on they keep buying 20 here 40 here. I'm not going to waste my money on that. If there was a limit of like 15, I think more people would play. I'm not trying to shoot anyone down here. Just stating how I feel about it. When the two people are on, I don't even think about buying a ticket.
In reply to that, what if buy limit was implemented? Not to horribly small like 5, but something like no more than 20~30? I feel like its unfair how people are unable to win, and a lot of the richer folk are becoming to overly dependent upon the lottery. Yes, the lottery does have a strong effect on our 'economy' run server, but everything else is mediocre in comparison to it, I would like to see someone make 1mil in an hour. This server is becoming very lottery hungry, and if a shrink in the possible ticket number isn't possible, what about making the lottery take longer to work like every few days.
Lottery won't ever be changed to be "easier" or "more fair." Purpose of lottery is for rich people to risk throwing their money around. There's been ticket limits before - I don't remember them all - but I think at one point it was as low s 50? It still didn't make a huge difference in the end... And if there is an extremely low limit, how does all the money in the economy even have a chance at getting to anyone else? Yes, the same few rich people always win, but those with very few tickets do win fairly often. Highly reduced and low ticket limit now won't change much in the long run... Money will instead just sit around in the same balances with little to no chance of ever getting to anyone who will actually spend it. :/ It would be worse to make a [low] limit.
The farthest I remember back was 100. It got upped to 1000 and then I remember the day when andrew announced 10000 tickets limit
