I want to host multiple events and I need someone to help with setting up a post in competitions to attract people to the events. I also need some assistance with gathering prizes for the events, as money isn't exactly abundant for me. I do not need help running the events themselves, but rather coordinating people to participate in the events. Those who help with coordination and/or prizes will still be able to participate in the events and even win prizes, as doing so does not provide an unfair advantage in any particular event. In total, I want to host 5 different events. Chess/checkers, Battleship, Spleef, Boat Racing, and an XO game(s). XO games are basically group true/false trivia where players answer by moving to the side they believe is the correct answer. O for true, X for false. The players that are wrong are eliminated from that game, and those who were right move on to the next question. Last person standing, wins. The facilities to hold the events are already built, and there are no special equipment requirements. Shovels will be provided for spleef, and boats will be provided for boat racing. Everything is already in place to host the events, but I do not have (or know what to use for) prizes, and I need help gathering people to participate.
For prizes, I think it'd really depend on the price range. You're a president so I'm assuming this wouldn't be lower-range prizes like unenchanted diamond tools or something, but then again I'm not a master of prizes. Maybe something like a nstar or two, or a $10 ECC gift card? Or some sort of enchanted tools/armor or rare blocks in bulk.
if you wan to set up an ecc olympics I will host some events along side you and we might be able to get a staff buyin if we present an organized plan with judging rules and all.
That's a nice offer but I'm not sure I would really be that good at hosting an olympics, I just don't have the amount of things needed to host that kind of event and I also don't have time, pretty busy with school right now.
