@saidah you are banned ingame and I can't forum pm you due to restrictions you have set up to your profile, so here I am contacting you in the sole way possible. Reminder: your loan is due tomorrow, 10 Jan 2016 (end of, UTC). Seeing that you're banned, are you going to appeal? Mods, I'm not sure whether I posted this in the right section, please move this if you deem it necessary
Sadiah is forum banned. He admitted to being an alt of rumball in the shoutbox, and he won't be returning in the near future.
Perhaps, but, if I'd given him the loan I'd be out even more money right now. There is someone else I'll be filing a complaint about if I can get imgur to upload my screenshots. If it keeps up I might stop giving out loans entirely.
I agree, there are so many people attempting to loan scam, or taking out loans not even being sure if they will pay back. When it comes to the time to pay back, they take out more loans and it never ends...
I'm assuming since one account is banned forever, the other one is too. So yeah, sorry for your luck Also, I was 1 inch away from giving him a 20k loan and he got banned. I see I'm not the only one!
Pretty sure this just means that they can't appeal in a public ban appeal. I think I've seen players before (specifically Giant_Leader) being perma banned with no appeal being able to appeal directly to Andrew at his admin email.
This^. But then, I don't understand this reply of @Imaginex: what if saidah appeals directly to Andrew, does that mean they don't have to pay back their debt?
But I'm afraid that, if I don't check periodically whether they get unbanned, staff will not know that there is a debt in the first place (because the debt has not been added to the reason of ban).
Then I would get it recorded officially via a complaint. A thread like this is not official and you would still need to file a complaint if they are unbanned to get it resolved in some way.
@Nicit6 I did, however it seems my complaint has not been added to the ban reason: https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/user-complaint-saidah.143120/
That's because it's claimed that they can never appeal. Even via email I assume. There is very, very little chance of them coming back but Nicit said if they do get unbanned then you'll have to file another complaint to have the debt put in action (I'm assuming) Either way loans always have risk, no matter how safe the person is you're loaning to... you'll be scammed a fair bit. It sucks nothing can be done.
I understand loans are risky, but that is not my concern. My concern is: do I have to periodically check whether the user gets unbanned? Wouldn't it be better if my complaint was just added to the ban reason, regardless of whether they are "banned with no appeal" (which is false, as they can always appeal directly to andrewkm)? It would require periodic work for me to check, while if it was added to the ban reason it would require for staff just a "oh, I see they have a debt" once (when they get unbanned, if they get).
